Well, this Idea is really simple-The recreation of any ores. Basically, this would make ALL ores obtainable, and the main help of this is:
-Artificial caves(without the /give or anything)
-Making more items obtainable without cheating/hacking.
-Sometimes better looking houses/temples/etc.(Since some texture packs makes some ores look pretty cool)
Anyway, the way to craft them:
Of course, the gold bar is interchangeable with Iron, Diamonds, Lapis, and maybe even coal. Also, it MUST be smoothstone. And the redstone would be something like this:
( =Redstone)
Please only constructive feedback, and since searching is still down, I don't know if this has been suggested already. :biggrin.gif:

You forgot, you first have to have the ores to make this
Never mind about that. Yah, sometimes I want the ores, but I don't think this is really necessary, except making traps in SMP, using the ore as bait. Would you be able to do this with redstone or lapis, because that wouldn't work.
Of course, the gold bar is interchangeable with Stone
And this would get us some quality... Stone Ore?
That little error apart, I like your basic concept of letting the player craft more different things. However, I think it just wouldn't make much sense; taking an iron bar and somehow encasing it in smooth stone wouldn't result in anything that would even remotely look like natural ore. Ore is an unrefined resource, and turning refined into unrefined material is something that's not really explainable using standard craftsmanship.

Well the Lapis could be the same, but redstone could be something like this:
( =Redstone)
Or perhaps the middle could be redstone as well, or something.

And it would always give you four? The reason I didn't like the idea was because you could use it to get a large amount of redstone, as long as you had one redstone, and a lot of stone. This is much better.

Edit: Same with lapis.

Cobblestone = ore...When did that one happen?
Then I remembered that not everyone on the board knows what re-creation is and how there's a big difference. I really don't see the point here.
