Hey, so I have an idea to add some new boss to the game,
But to make this boss so hard that even good players would have a problem with him.
This boss would be different from the others because he'd be flying and walking, He'd look like a wyvern or Pterodactyl
If he was walking, the player could be hurt by his jaw.
But when he is flying, he could catch the player with his claws and throw him somewhere far up, but you could have saved yourself with water, of course.
A wyvern would have 3 or 2 stripes of life, like those with a dragon from the end, to make it more difficult and give more satisfaction when it is defeated.
An breath would be poisonous in a large area close to the player.
A wyvern would be better to avoid pissing from the player.
An wyvern would do damage to the modes: Easy: 7 ❤️ Normal: 13❤️ Hard: 16❤️
The blocks that the wyvern couldn't destroy would be: Bedrock, Barriery. (Obsidian maybe)
Wyvern: 1. will saw you if you drank the potion of invisibility 2. It would be resistant to lava 3. Idea Abandoned (more in edit2)
The Wyvern would Heal Slowly if it is not attacked for, for example, 30 seconds to 1 minute.

After killing the wyvern would be the Achievements + The wyvern could be a replacement for the Red Dragon.
I think it would be a good idea and me and my friends Finally have some more difficult boss we couldn't beat at the first time.

Edit: That boss would have an egg you can hatch, for example: Under the egg will be lava or magma. a wywern could not fly it would be a small like wolf, generally a wywern could not fly because of holes in his wings but could throw a small poisonous ball which would last for example 5 seconds. he next advantage would be xp, and netherite, because it is difficult to get it and 3 blocks of netherite is a lot
Calling: the Wyvern you have to make a 3 block pole with netherite and on it armor stand with elytra. The whole structure will "disappear" except for the elytra which will be thrown out on the floor, or for example it can be in a box so that it will not disappear.
I didn't know what to do about destroying the blocks, so I decided I'd drop this idea.
The wivern wouldn't disappear, it would wait for the player to be in place and regenerate after a specific period of time,the wivern could disappear if the player wasn't around for also a specific period of time, for example 30 minutes, so it wouldn't be forever.
Some advice however. If you really want to drive the idea home, come up with some good visual examples. Learn how to use Blockbench for modelling, etc. Would really help the idea gain traction.
One, there's no reason to fight it other than just fighting it. Give it some unique item as a reward.
Two, with the exception of the Dragon Egg, it sounds too easy to spawn. Maybe replace the Obsidian with a Netherite Block.
Three, it sounds like an Overworld boss. A free-roaming Overworld boss that can fly and destroy blocks sounds like a nightmare trying to fight. So ditch the "destroying blocks" aside from maybe an explosive fireball attack.
Four, the Dragon Egg is non-renewable. You'd get one chance to fight this thing, and if it flies too far away for players to find, that's it. So remove the Dragon Egg and replace it with something more forgiving. Perhaps an Armor Stand with an Elytra on it. Then you can make the Elytra either a guaranteed drop or a semi-common drop so there's an opportunity for the player can get it back.
Five goes back to "if it flies or glitches away to the point where players can't find it." If it kills every player near it, it should fly back to world spawn and start looping until it finds a new player to attack.
Six: please don't make it despawn when everyone dies. That would make it impossible to fight given its damage and health.

The reason why people fight the Ender Dragon is so they can make it to the rest of The End dimension. People fight the Wither so they can get nether stars, which can be used to make beacons. But why would someone fight this new boss? Yes, I think it would be nice to get a new boss in the game since the wither was add in the Pretty Scary Update back in October of 2012, nearly 8 years ago. But I feel like this boss shouldn't be added just because it looks cool, there has to be a reason for it to be in the game.

If I suggest another exploding mob like the creeper but make it a fuzzy ball with eyes, that doesn't make it original. It's just another creeper but with a different coat of paint.

Some ideas (Red Dragon) aren't meant to touch the game, and don't need a "replacement". "Popularity" doesn't mean "good". You gotta wipe the stars and ballooned hearts from your eyes and see the bigger picture, because most of what you said in this thread clearly shows you don't completely know what you're talking about.

How do they fight this undead abomination when it has projectile shield?
If they dodge projectiles, I think we should have something else - (guardian-ish) laser for Wither.
If they have too much DPM with smite sword - good luck without armour against several at once. Might need improvement for AI.
Also, without breaking blocks, you can just mine a big underground hall, surround it with a corridor and make slab slits to shoot wyvern to death.
Alternatively, spawn it in the open and airstrike to death (elytra + fireworks + crossbow (+ pyrotechnical fireworks)), you need no ground fighting because of no force shields, and no armour, because you are too far away to get bitten or breathed at.
Or spawn it in middle of corridor filled with fully automatic arrow dispensers and use projectile-resistant armour.

I have a few concerns.
