I suggest the creation of female villagers.
When combining male villager with female villager, there would be a 10% chance (for each nearby male villager who interacted with her) that the female villager becomes pregnant every 30 minutes of play by increasing her belly slightly.
After 9 days (in-game days) a new villager would be born. In each village, there could be at least 50% female villagers.
Why did we need turtles? Why did we need horses? Why did we need polar bears? I think because people like me or you would like to see news with creatures that resemble the ones we know. Are there not women in the world to have a world of beings who "all seem to be men"? Even though they say they have no gender, they have male face patterns. But when they procreate and bear children, women are not there to help them. As I said, why do we have parrots in the game? Or cats? Can't we have women negotiators or procreators?

Interestingly, the only possible female mob in the game is a "hostile". Are there only hostile women?

Seriously though, we can make a [censored]storm out of everything, and Mojang wants to circumvent this by setting nearly all mobs to gender-neutral.
I don't want to get my boots into this political swamp of implications, neither does Mojang, so I and they alike will shoot down any proposals like this one.

I do wish though that testificates had more gender neutral voices. Villagers do sound somewhat masculine, illagers more so, witches sounding more feminine as well as illusioners.

Why do we need this?
We don't. All mobs (minus the Ender Dragon) are gender-neutral for gameplay purposes and young audiences.
