The armor stands we have are pretty good, to say the least. We can manipulate them through command blocks and put them in whatever poses we want. However, why stop there? There's still some potential armor stands have.
I'm thinking that upon placing it, its arms are immediately shown and its baseplate (The gray base you normally see below it) is gone. However, it should also have more flexible limbs. Say that you wanted to bend its arms or legs, but you couldn't do so. Now, you can! You don't need to have armor stands that are totally stiff.
As said before, through command blocks, you can manipulate its pose. However, why do that? Why make the player input several variables and not know what it looks like beforehand, and make it look completely different to the player's desired pose? So, to fix this, you should be able to right-click it, and a menu appears.
The menu will have armor slots and item slots to the left. You can put whatever armor and item you want on the armor stand. To the right will be the armor stand's selected pose. You can click on a "joint" of the armor stand and move it however you like, similarly to an animation program. This on its own should be a huge addition to armor stands in general.
But that's not all. What if you could animate it? What if you could make it move on its own? You can, while putting it in a pose, use keyframes in order to make it move. You could even test how its animation plays, and there would be no limit to how long the animation would be. However, this should be Creative exclusive-- to be honest, I don't see how it would make sense in Survival.
The suggestion's pretty small, but it would have a huge impact on map makers. There's just so much potential that Mojang has overlooked that it's a pity. So what do you think of the suggestion? Thank you for reading.
