i think they should add a "classic mode" update where the game would revert some of it's functions, textures and features back to those of Beta 1.5.
For example, cobblestone would revert, you would not have a hunger bar, grass would revert to beta's more simple texture with darker color, and punching sheep would make wool pop off.
However, stuff like Creative mode would be there, offering a new insight into how limited beta really was. also in the corner of the screen you would see:
Minecraft Classic Mode- Beta 1.5
i am not a og player (i started release 1.7.9) but i do prefer beta and i feel this would be a great addition.
Then, what is the point of adding something that is practically Beta 1.5? It'd make more sense to suggest for old versions to recover their sounds.
The people who make these threads want to play a version that has most of the newer features but with some older mechanics, not just completely revert them back to the old version (perhaps the best example is the 1.9 combat, or in my case, the 1.6 style of world generation, not that I want newer features, or can make my own mods to add things I want which are not in vanilla yet, so I just play on an older version).
Also, you can easily revert textures and names with a resource pack, which are easy to make, so there should never be a reason to add old textures to the game just so some people can revert them (they did include a built-in resource pack for the pre-1.14 textures but this is a bit different).
I don't want the newer features on the older version, just a classic mode so more people can see what 2011 minecraft was.
i guess i kind of do want creative mode in beta 1.5 because of the old cobble textures that i want for creative builds,
and i want classic eating mechanics (no hunger bar) but you're kind of making me sound like i dont like beta, but i refuse to play anything newer than beta 1.7.2.

You can literally pick almost any version in the game (Barring Survival Test and Indev), so a "classic mode so more people can see what 2011 minecraft was" is just plain redundant.

Seems redundant. I'm guessing perhaps not, but do you know that you can revert to and play Beta 1.5 right now using the launcher?
Figured it was time for a change.
You think i don't know that!? I play alpha almost every day, and i collect lost versions of the game. I was literally playing Beta 1.5 an hour ago!

Wind revamp and hot air balloons.
I don't agree. Maybe add a resource pack for classic sounds and textures included in the install, but apart from that, no.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
