A wider variety of plants! That being fruits like, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, coconuts, apples, pears, oranges, lemons, tomatoes, an assortment. And vegetables like lettuce, broccoli, peas, cabbage, mushrooms, celery, cucumbers, ect! Which could all be grown in either the ground, a bush, or a tree. It would add such a fun aspect to gardening for console edition players!
Man, suggestions really are getting ridiculously vague. It seems like a lot of suggestions nowadays are just random ideas that pop into the OP's head at some random time in the day, then thrown onto the suggestions forum as fast as possible because they think it will be a popular suggestion.
If you do have this way of suggesting, then here's a pro tip: edit your suggestion when you get more details on your suggestion. And don't expect the critics to add the details, either, because the discussion will go nowhere and your thread will be locked.
(It seems as if this whole archive thing is producing underdeveloped suggestions. These excessively vague ideas started around the time the forum archive was announced. Was this a coincidence? Or was everyone throwing the rest of their ideas down before the forum closed?.)
As for your suggestion, sure, the idea of new garden plants in Minecraft is decent, but you should also list their properties. How do you plant it? How long does it take for a plant to grow? How many hunger points does it replace? Can it be crafted into other foods?
I really don't see a reason more plants shouldn't be added to Minecraft.

Well, only if they're kinda scarce...you know, like melons(since jungles became a bit more rare, so are melons rarer now, slightly)and fill like half a hunger point. Those because, we already have an abudance of easily found food as it is, making minecraft really easy, even on hardcore...Nowdays, you can only die from hunger in certain servers, were the spawn area is griefed.....
