The name_unknown is a monster that appears after you've been near the void for too long.
When you've been near the void for 3 minutes, you will get the "Watched" debuff. It lasts for 3 minutes. When you get the debuff, the name_unknown will spawn. It disappears when the debuff is over. It cannot be damaged by anything, and can teleport around. However, it can only remain in the dark. If you don't want to be killed, make sure to place many torches when you go mining. It can shoot short range projectiles that can go out of the dark and go 4 blocks far. Multiple name_unknowns can exist at the same time, but only one per player. Only one can exist at a time if there is one player in the world. They looks similar Entity 303 (which isn't real).

The idea of an invincible, teleporting mob that randomly spawns when a player takes some action [whatever that may be] is not promising…
Much needs to be defined for this to have any chance of being viable… what is meant by "near the void" would be a good place to start….
Given that working in the bedrock layers of the overworld is faily common and can lead to the player being just over one block from the void (when standing on the lowest layer of bedrock) and only 5 away when standing on the top layer spawning an invincible opponent seems overkill.
"it can only remain in the dark" could also use clarification: is "dark" light level 0, 7, other?
Other than punishing players who are 'misbehaving', what is the purpose of this?
[One presumes the arguments against player coercive changes need not be rehashed ]

One really big argument: Minecraft is NOT a horror game. We don't need to add any creepypastas like that. Insta 100% No Support
Uh... hate to tell you m8, but we already have horrors in minecraft.
A haunting mob that spawns near the bottom of the world isn't a bad idea. It could make late-game mining more interesting. The problem with this suggestion is the mob is overpowered.
Can you explain the situation where a player will be 'near the void' for too long - other than falling to your death in the end, in which case you don't survive that long anyway.
Now IF you suggested something like a variation of the Phantom that appears in the End or Nether @ low light levels & avoids light sources etc - that spawns in if the player is stationary for too long or moving slowly (like building a bridge across the void/lava while shifting) then I may support the idea of having another mob in the End/Nether
Having another mob undergound, when near bedrock level & only spawns when it's dark.. nope... we've already got Skelly,Zombies,Spider,Creeper that spawn in the dark already
So basically a ethereal/eldritch abomination that can spaw from 1 to 30 players and if your friend just happens to be near bedrock whilst you mine somehwere else in close vincinity minding your business... you might stil be targeted due to the AI in the game, even though you weren't the one
who actually spawned this monster... now have a bunch of players near bedrock levels mining and you won't have much of a horror experience but
rather torches galore.
Might be a good idea for a horror themed singleplayer map or something like that... but hard to implement in multiplayer... besides.
Quite a few people don't seem to like this kind of stuff. I had an earful after having used the "Grue" mod on my server... took like only one ingame
day until people wanted rid of it.
Just have a thought as to how this could effect all the players on a server (unless this feature is singleplayer only or can be deactivated per gamerule).
In order to make this mob better it should only appear like very low in the earth like at bedrock level because diamonds are close to that point and it would be annoying to get diamonds. I mostly mine without torches with high brightness so this would be hard to mine but if its low in the earth this would fix this problem anyways it should be like a mini boss or something and the mob should get damaged by the player. It should be able to go through walls and should drop a special item that is rare or something maybe dark ingots for dark armor but it's drops would be rare and it can only come at night time once. The mini boss would have like 80 or 150 health but i would like to see something better then diamonds in minecraft but this is just a idea supporting the original idea.

One problem: You cannot be in the Void for very long, as it kills you relatively fast.
My suggestions: Enhancements - Throwable Fire Charges - On Phantoms and Elytra. Also check out The Minecraftian Language. This signature is not here to waste your space.
