This idea was originally going to be added to my Cage idea but seeing as a suggestion topic is supposed to stick to it's initial idea, I've decided to expand on this idea.
First of all: Change the name from sticks to Wooden Dowel.
Second: Using two Iron Ingots, one on top of the other only in the crafting table, would make four Iron Dowels. "
"But Adii30, you handsome intellectual," you ask yourself, "what would we use Iron Dowels for?"
Thank you, random forum viewer, but flattery will get you nowhere.
Iron Dowels could be used in place of any craft able item that requires one or more sticks to make but the crafted item would be immune to being destroyed by explosions and no longer flammable, he durability of tools would be increased by 50%, arrow's damage would be increased by 50%, and paintings would get a nice silver frame.
50% is a bit too much, no?
It would make a iron sword last almost as long as a sword (I'm probably wrong though )
It is a decent idea but it should be more like 30% or something like that otherwise it would be far too powerful
Most iron swords had wooden handles anyway
No. This would make diamond last SOOOOO much longer. And also, wouldn't a iron sword with regular sticks last longer than a wood sword with iron sticks? This just has too many flaws, not that it's a bad idea, just revise it.
You could use iron rods/dowels for rails instead of ingots
Rails are long strips of metal right? So if you could take a bulky iron ingot and stretch it out, that would make a better building material for rails.
You could also make grates too for water to pass though.
[IR] = iron rod
# = iron grate
