whips....like really one explorer uses them (isn't that right Dr.Jones?) but this would be really cool to have because you can whip a whip around a mob to tie it up if a player gets tied up they can immediately brake the whip with a sword but with your fists it might take a while (can break your whip)
or bring it towards you (can break it and get away passive mobs apply to breaking) if there is a item out of your range you can whip it and bring it towards you if you whip a tied up mob with a whip you should get a item of a cow or something and should say tied up creature and if you place it it will be tied up what ever u caught (you DONT get a player item like a tied up player
attacking would be right clicking would stun and left click would...well you know attack
also i think zombies should wield whips because they have no special or unique ability.Im not too sure how this would work with ghasts because their huge and fly
The whip could cause the mob to take the "crouch" effect, and simply disable their damage... so notch + team could re-use some old code for that bit...
the breaking part would require entirely new code, though...
