Basically mulitple tiny stone cubes in one block. And the more you place, the more there can be in a single block. Basically like sea pickles. This would probably be used in building in the future a lot.
Oh I see. So essentially a decorative block that looks like a placed stone slab, but adds a few extra details for every placed piece similar to a mosaic, that takes up on square while consisting out of more said elements. Basically in behaviour like the turtle egg blocks but in appearance similar to cobblestone? That would actually be a sweet idea for map makers who want to place single pebbles or have cracked pavements (well they already use cracked bricks, gravel, halfslabs and a combination thereof... still nothing speaks against more decorative blocks). So how do you craft these stone paths and can you elaborate a little more on them?

Limit on the number in one block? [Sea pickles top out at four.]
More importantly: WHAT do these DO?
At present there is no indication of how "mulitple tiny stone cubes in one block" are intended to interact on which to comment…

Well, yeah. I thought of it that way. And based on my thoughts, I don't think it's the best, however this is my suggestion on the crafting system:
Thanks for the appreciation!
The Creeper of the Days
Nothing. They do nothing, however I suggested this because all builders would enjoy it. And of course there would be a limit.
The Creeper of the Days
Could they share the same height as maybe, carpets?
