And by odd, I mean not complex,
But I'd like to see Japanese Cultural based things in Minecraft.
What I'd like to see:
Staffs of bamboo.
Bamboo plants.
Japanese paintings
That's all I can think of.

As for bamboo, can you tihnk of a way it could be implemented?
Maybe bamboo could be used to make paper instead of sugar cane? Makes more sense. Plus, we could have panda mobs! Maybe. Or maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. Bamboo sounds alright, though.

In the beginning... Notch created the heavens and the earth. And it was buggy as hell.
I was going somewhere with that but instead I will get to the point. Before sugar cane was sugar cane it was reeds. It was changed to make sugar accessable for cake. I love cake. But it was reeds which looked like bamboo and was used to make paper and I'm going in circles so there.

I thought it was reeds before it was sugar cane. o.o I could be wrong, though. Either way, it's weird now, ha. Necessary at the moment (since there's no other way of getting both sugar and paper), but still weird.

You can still get paper from sugar cane... and with that make books and amazing bookshelves...

Right, but I'm saying that's weird... Sugar cane should make just sugar, not paper. Maybe we could use trees for paper somehow... But then, what to do with the bamboo? Hm...

Hell, even slideable doors would be nice.

Showing that sugarcane waste makes paper. It makes sense.
