I think the annoyance of creepers have been over looked for so long that I think it should be optional to have them. So when people get angry or annoyed by them They can just switch them off but have the other mobs. This should go especially on consoles.

In other words, that's not a good idea. Creepers, although sometimes very rage-inducing, are nowhere near as terrible as some of the other mobs in this game (like Strays), and having options that disable certain mobs are probably going to be used by very few people.
On one level I like the idea of allowing users to create fully customised worlds. (Making it a shame that 1.13 removed the custom world options.)
So long as this sort of thing is confined to customised worlds (rather than being a switchable game rule or the like in vanilla), I can see little objection beyond the inevitable resource requitrements to implement the proposal.
Assuming MS/Mj listens to their customer base and restores the customizable world options (regardless of route), allowing the easy editing of not just the presence/absense of specific mobs, but things like biome limitations, spawn weighting, and pack size would allow knowledable users to tailor their gaming experience.
[For those not so knowledgable (or simply interested in exploring another's world concept), some sort of "data pack like" structure could be created to allow the easy copying of complex options.]
In and of themselves, I do not feel specific mobs should have specially coded off switches. [Even drowned and MobB, both of which are far more injurious to long established expectations of MC 'physics' than the much older and far more iconic creeper.]

WARNING: I have an extemely "grindy" playstyle; YMMV — if this doesn't seem fun to you, mine what you can from it & bin the rest.
I dislike creepers but I just /mobgriefing false them since I always enable cheats for emergencies or mobgriefing/keepinventory commands typically, or if I didn't know commands or didn't feel like it; I'd use datapacks or mods to remove their explosions rather than go to peaceful because I don't hate them that much just their explosion attacks more than their existence of popping up to attack me.
Also why would you want pigs becoming optional? I can see reason in why pigs could be optional even yes for your original reasoning being the drop rates which yes does bug me at times. Yes they are useless for riding but were sort of anyways even with the carrot on a stick being added and with horse a carrot on a stick could more so be a joke reward or last resort if you can't get horses for whatever reason I guess, but pork is still a good option for food to me and the access to pigs for me isn't too bad, the amount of times I never get chickens for feathers sometimes bugs me, sheep for wool sometimes, and cows for leather, but pigs if I see them I need pork so they feel like the lucky food option for me but others I can see why someone would want them optional. It depends, if I'm sick of wheat but can't find the other crops, especially cocoa beans more rarely, pork is sort of my go to food besides bread, and I barely add food mods and stick with these foods often, but that's just me of course.
I'd like the idea of customable elements to the game but whether they will make it fully accessible for certain ones in the game compared to how they did with terrain, ores, biomes and so on with the prior world options stuff which I loved but not customised much else, I find more interesting and accessible rather than the buffet or biome 5x5 to whatever changes. I'm not informed about them as much yet so excuse me for not knowing about them as much. But with the changes it gives me a reason to jump back to prior versions to customise those things besides other mod choices like I usually do for prior versions more so.

I mean, that was kind of a way to point out flaws in his post, but anyways, I'll explain it further.
Pigs were once the single best food source in Minecraft; you could just rely on them to survive your time playing the game. Even when Beta 1.8 came, and beef was added to cows, pigs were still a somewhat viable food source, as you could easily breed them. Come release 1.4.2, and pigs don't drop any more porkchops than they used to, yet they require two of the the most undeniably stupid crops in Minecraft (carrots and potatoes) to breed...
Even with that said, I'd still happily take them over the more recent animals added (like polar bears, llamas, parrots, and pandas); I just "put them on the spotlight" to poke fun at the OP's post because they're complaining about a monster that can sometimes be very annoying when there are other, much worse, much more injurious monsters that one can encounter when playing Minecraft.
Yeah I had noticed that their drop rates had been unchanged for a while when going back to older versions, 1.2.5 at least since I can't get any further back running and also due to me being a modding fan I also stick to that version at times for a bit of a change from the changes in newer versions even though I only started the game in 1.4.5 and up. But modpacks exist for older so I have a little fun or change at times and do notice those things besides the wiki entries more so being a clearer reason to state it if I haven't seen what is technically further back than 1.2.5 making my thoughts on it more inaccurate but oh well. But I do get what you mean at least since looking back on Minecraft's changes over time more on the wiki out of curiosity.
I never breed animals anymore and just go with crops since its easier as the wait for getting their meat over other uses can be annoying to me, especially if its leather collection I just give up due to lack of patience to get say books. Its a me thing though not the game's fault. But yeah carrots and potatoes is a really silly thing to breed pigs if Villages are the only way to go about them besides mods so its really odd to go for pigs, when someone could go for the other options, even sheep due to their options these days of wool and meat being not too bad.
Very true, many of the others I never see and when I do like the Llama I just go 'oh that exists' and just continue on with what I'm doing since I never see them again and never care for their uses since the older alternatives are what I'm going for most of the time for their uses or just their more commonness I guess.
And there is worse out there agreed. It depends on what spawns or what biome too.
yet they require two of the the most undeniably stupid crops in Minecraft (carrots and potatoes) to breed...
Oi don't diss potatoes, k? Baked potatoes are great stuff.
OP, why not just /mobgriefing:False if it's just the structural damage that bothers you? If it's being jumped by the creepies, I understand more, but you could say that about any hostile mob and even some neutral ones. I don't like the creeper either as an idea and the fact that it gets protection because it's old-school, but removing it entirely from gameplay takes away from an established type of danger that is hard to replicate. What other mob in the game is good at stealth, let me ask you that? You hear most of them from a mile away.
Creepers, although sometimes very rage-inducing, are nowhere near as terrible as some of the other mobs in this game (like Strays), and having options that disable certain mobs are probably going to be used by very few people.
Strays are irritating, but they're not in every biome at least.
[For those not so knowledgable (or simply interested in exploring another's world concept), some sort of "data pack like" structure could be created to allow the easy copying of complex options.]
Well, not everyone has the patience and intelligence to get that into a game. I can personally, but I know many people who just flat out lose interest when there's too much dry stuff.
I think the annoyance of creepers have been over looked for so long that I think it should be optional to have them. So when people get angry or annoyed by them They can just switch them off but have the other mobs. This should go especially on consoles.
i don't think they are annoying. They are kinda useful and cool for me
What's annoying about them?
(she/they)
Get my 1.10.2 modpack :D, Quae Machinis (Machines and Things)
Have a nice day!
i don't know

True, I did miss that part. Oops.
