Fine by me, its a plant and the prior standard has been that (most) plants are pottable…

Should a berry bush in a pot still deal damage if you stand on the pot and move around?
Id say Berry Bushes should be pottable, but I dont think they should Hurt nor yiels Berries.
Flowerpots only have a Value for which flower is inside anyway, so growth inside the Flowerpot wouldnt work unless specificly added for Berries.
At that Point, why not add Crops to Flowerpots... no wait, thats a stupid Idea.
Saplings and Cacti dont grow or hurt either, so why should the Berry Bush.
Also, a plucked Berry bush doesnt look too appealing, and the Flower Pot is really more of a Decorative Block.
Support to the inital Idea.
If-only there were a way to "Freeze" (such as by using the referenced Flower Pots) Multiple given-stages of growth, as they Do have the Four stages (8 Wheat, 4 of non-Wheat, Crops from Farmland visibly anyway), in /of appearance(s). Then we could have a whole panoply of Sweet Berry Bush visibilities (even).
Since the appearances are really different-enough, as compared to (contrasted with, even) the from-Farmland, Grow-able Crops. That said, once-Picked, from an otherwise-"'Freezing' Growth" (Hypothetically, here, as opposed to: "this is," I see too-often here in Suggestions) Flower Pot, they'd Not-renew their (Sweet) Berries, and /or they Couldn't-be Picked (probably a better idea as Right-Clicking's already causing me to Change-Wood Logs ["the 'other Change-Log'"], into Stripped ones, unintentionally often-enough, since Right-Clicking's so easy to do accidentally [yeah, this also Places items in /rotates items-around in Item Frames, of course Too, but anyway]) in the first place, because otherwise they'd be relatively-cheap and-easy Food, with almost-no effort /Crafting, at All.
Oh, right, Cacti-too in the just-above reply don't-Grow, once Placed in Flower Pots. And of course Trees don't-Grow from such or they'd destroy such (tinier Flower Pots).
So-too won't upcoming 1.14 Bamboo (though there's nothing for Sugar Cane, note). It seems that Sweet Berry Bushes might be valuable /dangerous /attractive -enough on their own, that they'd mimic these other-than Sugar Cane, things, closer than not, if not-for again that issue of deciding-which stage(s) of Growth ( O.o ).

I don't think they should. On top of that, it would be good if you could harvest them from the flower pot the same way as you do from the ground.
This would give more reason to make flower pots and give them more of a purpose than decoration.
Agreed. Full support from me for practicality.
