Currently, when rain falls on a block, it just magically disappears. Boring right?
I propose the addition of rain puddles. When rain falls onto a non-absorbent surface such as stone, brick, or wood, it will collect water and form a puddle, which is a bit thinner than snow. When rain falls on an absorbent surface like grass or sand, nothing will happen, it will stay normal.
When a player walks/runs over a puddle, it causes them to slide. Not quite as much as when walking on ice, but still a noticeable amount. Neither redstone nor its related blocks can be placed on a puddle. Puddles will go away when the sun comes back, due to evaporation. Breaking the block the puddle is on will cause the puddle to move down a block. If the block below it is absorbent, or below it is the void, the puddle will disappear.

Doesn't entirely support I like the idea but, what does it add to the game besides a little bit of realism, also this might be a little laggy.
The idea is to add a kind of "obstacle" with rain. Right now, rain doesn't really matter. Yeah it's there, but other than the sound and the annoying rain particles, rain doesn't add any kind of challenge to the gameplay experience.

Wouldn't players move faster with the slipping thing, making it a convenience not a nuisience?
I'm with everybody else. I think it would add some minor realism to the game. Although I think it should only apper say in a biome that theres mainly dirt, i.e the Large Tiga or whatever its called.

I like this idea for the added realism.

I Support.
I'd like it, but I'm worried it would accelerate lag for what it does add in terms of making rain more challenging. Cautious support.
