First, you would have to heat up the glowstone dust.It will look like with scales and light around it.The more armor you have, the more brighter your character will be.You could use this armor as a flashlight.It is as durable as gold armor.

I don't see why not. For a while, lighting only differed from block to block. Now we have smooth lighting. I'm sure he has the know how to throw in moving, glowing objects. Notch has even said thing about possibly having lanterns light the way as you hold them.
I'm against this idea, if only because I think that this would be too much of a pain in the behind to assemble as a suit of armor. A full set of armor costs 24 pieces of X item- 24 glowstone blocks would require 216 pieces of glowstone dust, which would require the breaking of 216 pieces of glowstone from the nether. To me, that seems like too much work just to get an armor set that has the damage threshold of glass and the effects of a carry-able torch.
