Like the Romans, Minecraft should have bronze as a material.
It would be a bit better than iron.
It would be made by mining tin and copper ore, combining the two, then smelting the combination.
It would be a darker gold.
Tin would be gray, darker than stone.
Copper would be brown, like dirt.
both metals would usualy be found close to each other, about 7 blocks.
:Uranium:
A CRAZY idea, uranium is very rare and radioactive.
It would be a bit worse than iron.
It does 9 hearts of damage when used as a sword.
It is Mined, then it is ready to use as a building material.
It is a pure white color.
Being near the ore (1 block) will do a half a heart of damage every 5 second, so it isn't that deadly.
:Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby:
We have diamonds, so why not other gems?
Sapphires, emeralds, and rubies don't do anything different than diamonds, other than the color.
The sapphire ore is a different texture than lapis lazuli, so that you don't get them confused.
Sapphires are blue.
Emeralds are green.
Rubies are blue.
They can be used for armor.
sapphire armor is blue, emerald armor is green, ruby armor is red.
they can be used for jukeboxes, but they won't do anything different.

Copper, yes and suggested already. Ruby, emerald and sapphire is just diamond with dye. The whole concept of other jems is cool, but they are re-skins of diamond. I think gold should be at the very least to have durability of stone. There should be bones or something else to be used in where the sticks are to make an item a little more durable. I think glow-stone is radioactive already because there is no known stone to glow. Glow-stone should not be used as a tool however. Alloys should become available to make other tools though.

I am just a guy looking for good suggestions that are original, creative, and match the theme of Mine-craft. I have some mob ideas that I need help forming which is a community project.
