Minecraft already has Normal Villages and Zombie Villages. There should be more:
Bad villages: Buildings look run down. Villagers are hostile, and will attack the player and steal the player's items. Villagers can have weapons such as a sword or a bow. Punches do 2 hearts of damage and steal a random item. The loot varies from nothing to a bunch of enchanted weapons. These villagers will not despawn nor disappear on peaceful mode. You can trade with them, but their goods are at high prices (1 in 6 villages).
Repetition: N/A, they all want to rob you.
Rich Villages: Like normal villages except everything is more expensive to trade. More selection of trades. Buildings are made of gold, diamond and cobblestone. You can lose popularity by stealing items, crops and blocks. Trades are all very pricy. (1 in 30 villages).
Repetition: +5 if you give them emeralds, gold, diamonds. +1 if you give them iron, wood, stone. -1 for taking their resources, and the rest is the same as what we have now.
Secured Villages: They have walls around the village, iron golems that attack the player on sight, villagers never leave their houses. No one here trades. They don't trust you (1 in 20 villages).
Repetition: -5 if you enter the village while carrying a weapon Because it looks like you want to attack them. +3 for giving them weapons. The rest is the same as what we have now.
TNT villages: There is TNT under the roads, buildings, trapped chests (which replaces normal chests). They trade with TNT instead of emeralds. (1 in 5 villages)
Repetition: +5 for giving them TNT. The rest is the same as what we have now.
Generous Villages: Everyone gives you stuff for free, but each trade has a 3 Minecraft day cool down. They love everyone, including zombies that try to kill them! So they need more protection than normal villages! They also give stuff to hostile mobs as well. (1 in 100 villages)
Repetition: +10 for existing within 16 chunks away from the village per minute. You can't lose repetition in these villages.
Magic Villages: Everyone here sells potions. They have special buildings with brewing stuff in them. (1 in 40 villages)
Repetition: +5 for giving them potions. -5 for stealing potions. The rest is the same as what we have now. Trades all includes potions.
Military villages: They have warlords. Everyone here likes war. Specialized buildings: Forts, barracks, boot camps. All villagers are armed and they breed faster. They have flags on their wells. They raid nearby villages. Villages taken over will still keep their village type but they also have Military as a second type, and they have the flag of their invader. (1 in 200 villages). Trades includes weapons instead of emerald. They don't trade with players having bad reputation ( < 10 )
Repetition: +10 if you have a weapon and armor. -5 if you are unarmed and have no armor. The rest is the same as what we have now.
In my opinion there only need be one type of village which is a normal village. Variations inside the village would be nice, but having specific 'rich villages' and ridiculous ones like 'generous village' and 'TNT village' makes the entire feature too artificial. Minecraft doesn't seem to like having so many different types of things and I don't suspect such sharply delineated villages would be appropriate.
Except zombies, skeletons, and villagers. The majority of new mobs added has long, and perhaps always, been within these three categories with practically everything else only getting 1-off representation.
I agree with fishg here. We don't need "TNT villages" where opening a chest will destroy everything. We don't need "rich villages" which are made of gold and diamond blocks. We don't even need zombie villages.
Imagine stumbling across a village when you're on half a heart and little-no hunger. You cheer and celebrate. You eagerly run into the village only to be stabbed to death by a Nitwit.
I could live with that element of surprise. I mean, think about it. You probably know from past experience to expect a bit of difficulty when raiding an ocean monument or stronghold or even just a large cave system. You gear up appropriately, you approach appropriately, and you engage a strategy to get in and deal appropriately. What would you honestly do if on doing all of that you noticed that the guardians were completely ignoring you? You wouldn't back out to cut your losses and try again later, I bet, but would explore the structure in a manner that suggested you believe there to be zero danger.
Gold and diamond houses? Reputation? What does reputation even do in this game? Does it remove trading deals, does it change the behavior of villager towards you, or is it another one of those random statistics that nobody checks. You do realize people could simply mine gold and diamond block houses, leave, and enjoy the perks of another village that may be somewhere. And hostile villages? Don't we have that in woodland mansions already? Would there be any benefits to going to a bad village (such as good loot) or would it be like those abandoned villages and serve no purpose but sit there and be unusable? And secured villages? Why would you want that in the first place? TNT villages? Let's ask the question right now: Why would they even place TNT everywhere when they know that someone will step on one of the pressure plates and blow the entire village up? And again, what are the benefits? Generous Villages could be useful, but it can backfire. They will eventually give a creeper an op diamond sword. Not a very good idea. The magic villages, well... they could be useful, though in that sense wouldn't they be witches? Since they brew potions a lot... However, No support due to a lot of missing parts to this suggestion and ridiculous overpowering.

Most of these are cliche or just plain silly.

My suggestions: Enhancements - Throwable Fire Charges - On Phantoms and Elytra. Also check out The Minecraftian Language. This signature is not here to waste your space.
