Lifstone (like the title says, i kinda need a better name) is a very rare ore underground. Its about as rare as diamond. Lifestone ore looks like a pink version of lapis lazuli, and has the same glowing effect of redstone. It is mined by a diamond or gold pick, and takes 8 seconds to be mined. It has the power to put artificial lfe into an inanimate object, like a snowman or something.

I don't like this, in general. I don't want some random scarecrows and snowmen wandering around my world.
You got it all wrong, it doesn't add those in your world, you craft inanimate objects, like a scarecrow, and it can have a lifestone put in it to come to life.
If you're going to say 'oh then don't use it', Minecraft will become bloated and unusable from the fact you have to apply that to every other suggestion too.
I have read enough threads shot down to know not to pull the don't use it card.

What better use is there? And nothings going to come to life unless he or another player makes it come to life as a guard.
