So, maybe not everything in this (ever expanding) list is something new, but we'll just consider things that have already been said before as votes for that item. Also, I know there is only supposed to be one suggestion per topic, but I feel an entire topic per item is sort of silly for such little comments on each item, and that making all of those topics would just make a mess. I feel this is page my ideas as a whole. Sort of my collective information as a consumer, ya know? Anyways, enjoy.
Wouldn't it be convenient to not have to worry about torches when mining? A mining helmet would be a wonderful combination of light and protection from enemies that may surprise you, or even some sand/gravel that may fall on your head. Any helmet + + .
Also, some sort of possibility for scaling cliffs, like climbing gear. Its like an on the go ladder, but it would only make sense to destroy the blocks it attaches when detached to so it can't be used as some sort of alternative to a ladder. So, like a ladder, but with different uses. Possibly multiple string to make rope (which could be used for tons of things!), and then [>>-i>] + rope + bow? Not so sure about that design.... Would break eventually.
Thirdly, shields. Pretty much every piece of basic fighting gear is present except for this. This would greatly increase the strategy of combat, and make it much more fun than just swinging mindlessly until either you or your enemy dies.
My fourth item has probably been said multiple times before, and needs no explanation, but holdable (lit) torches/lanterns etc.
Next is throw-able explosives. I don't see why not. Simple design of + + string
Blueprints. The ability to save an object you've built, and then be able to build it again in a fraction of the time would be wonderful. Of course, the object would have to be built by YOU alone and the resources would still have to be collected. The time it takes for the object to be constructed would depend on the size and complexity of it. I would say about .5 seconds for common blocks, like wood and cobble, maybe .10 for redstone dust, .25 for obsidian and so on. I don't really know much about those numbers, but I think they're pretty good. This means very small buildings are pretty much instant build, and very large structures might take a few minutes. The saved time starts to add up the bigger you get, sort of like the more you buy, the more money you save (buying in bulk and whatever). I think this would be a wonderful addition to Minecraft if done right, and probably requires a lot of refining.
Dowsing rods. I think that would be fun.
More ores, like copper. This would greatly expand the crafting possibilities, like rope.
Bigger maps (WHAT YOU SAY?!). Higher highs and lower lows! I want my wizard tower 1013948ft tall AND on top of an epic mountain! I want my dungeons to descend into HELL!! This would greatly contribute to the possibility of more ores.
Rare finds. More sorts of rare findable things all around, like the very rare chance of finding abandoned buildings. I know the idea is you're stranded in nowhere, but a few people live nowhere, and it would be extremely fun to find these kinds of things, especially if you decided to dig out the floor and found an epic cave. Why don't I stumble upon a nether portal once in a very rare while? I really want to emphasize that these are very rare finds, more rare than finding dungeons underground. They would greatly encourage exploration.
Lastly, as a suggestion for probably far future plans; some sort of more advanced crafting table(s), like an assembly machine, for making bigger or more complex things.
Feedback please! Try to critique as hard as you can, I like that. I think it's very productive. However, critique doesn't mean call my ideas stupid :tongue.gif:. More ideas in the future!
What he said, but I do really like a lot of those ideas, especially "bigger maps" and more ores; it'd end up as real survival -ish -ness, with you scratching your head saying, "Now what in the world is this and what can I make out of it?"
Read the rules, this goes in to the Wish List section.
I read both the announced read before posting and the suggestion specific one, and neither mentioned a wish list section. Also, a link would be convenient.
welcome to the forums, most of these ideas have been proposed in one form or another. i cant exactly yell at ya for not searching because its disabled.

Ya, I would have if I could, but like I mentioned in the beginning, if they were already suggested, that idea can just be considered a vote.
