I think that there should be a way to gather bones and string in Peaceful mode. I understand that string is useful only for bows and fishing rods, which are both useless in Peaceful, but sometimes it's fun to have them, just for display of fish or, well, just to HAVE a bow.
I originally thought of having the idea of fossils, which would be somewhat like an ore. I believe that it should look like stone, but perhaps have bone-like white shapes on it.
Recently though, I began to loose interest in such an ore. So, instead, I thought of this:
Well, if you were to be stranded on an island with pigs, sheep, cows or chickens, which would be the easiest to kill and prepare the meat of? I doubt that it would be a pig.
I think that upon death, chickens should drop an item called 'Raw chicken leg'. (1.5 hearts upon eaten?) Which would, as expected, be cooked into a 'Chicken Leg', or perhaps 'Cooked chicken leg', which would heal about 3 or so hearts, and when eaten, it would leave a bone in that slot. Sensible?
My second(and favourite) idea is a spinning wheel.
It may be crafted like this:
[] []
[] []
The spinning wheel would sit on the ground and be about 1 (or 1 1/2) blocks high, and 1/2 block thick. When left pressed, it would spin; and it would have to be held down to be destroyed or it would keep spinning (a bit like a door). But when right clicked with wool, it would get a different texture which would make it appear to be covered in white wool. And after this, when it was left clicked it would shorten the wool and spin again, dropping a piece of string. One piece of wool would probably yield 1 or 2 pieces of string.
Well, tell me what you think :smile.gif: I personally like the idea of the wheel most.
True, but I am talking about peaceful mode.
Your point about the string is a good one, though.
Although...this would be a bit odd for the wheel as you would just right click it and immediately left click it, which seems a bit awkward.
Perhaps, though, you could retain it if it spun three or so times for each piece.
Nice! :smile.gif:

Darn it, I'm getting lonely.
