Murky Jungle
Basically a regular jungle, but the trees grow from a shallow swamp with swamp colored water. It isn't THAT complicated, is it? If so, here's a visual representation of what it should look like (but with jungle trees)
Desert Mesa
A desert with lot's of trenched in area. More visual representation, because I'm too lazy to explain it's appearance to you!
Underground lake
Again, not hard to explain. BUT this time, there'll be two types which can be easily interpreted by looking at the images below.
Hope you enjoyed this fairly generic but potential idea. Would actually be interesting to see these make it into the game.
You've done a good job of demonstrating these features can be made to score high on "Looks Cool", but further development/explanation of the features and functions (if any) of the areas is needed.
[Underground lakes of either type illustrated (at least in the sense of water under air in a cave) can form at present, although finding large examples is fairly rare.]
For Murky Jungle:
which characteristics of Jungle and which of Swamp do you intend this biome to have?
(eg. temples, witch huts, lilly pads, blue orchid, clay, ocelots, parrots, ground level slime, tree type(s), mellons, cocoa, etc...)
what (if any) are the special characteristics that do not exist in either of these biomes?
Similarly, for Desert Mesa:
which characteristics of Desert and which of Mesa do you intend this biome to have?
There is great potential for Murky Jungles to be used for smooth Jungle-Swamp biome transitions.
Desert Mesas look too much like "Desert M" and some Mesa variants. Could you please explain in which ways Desert Mesas would be different? We need more details.
Underground lakes are not a bad idea, but it why would they be proper biomes instead of part of a cave system formation?

1. They'd have hardened clay on the walls, and would be far much deeper. Obviously not as deep down as ravines but maybe half.
2. I was thinking they could appear as both, found in forested areas such as jungles and maybe flower forests, along with being underground.

WARNING: I have an extemely "grindy" playstyle; YMMV — if this doesn't seem fun to you, mine what you can from it & bin the rest.
They're just to serve as aesthetics mostly, although some unique characteristics would spice things up a little.
