Ships & Canoes
"If I could swim 100 miles"
Ships and Canoes would be a great way to travel through water with greater convenience. But to start off, for the purpose of the idea of adding them to VMC without making boats obsolete, you would finally be able to lead boats around and to any other boats, canoes, and ships.
Canoes would be like boats, but will not have a crafting recipe, can not be leaded to other canoes, or be able to pick up any entities; however, they would be 3 blocks long and could carry up to 4 players and carry a chest in one of the middle seats (the chest will take up the seat and will only allow for 3 other players). Canoes would also go faster with more players to paddle along (each player will double their drift and turn speed). The back and front players will be able to turn the side of the boat they control the drastically. Steering the canoe will be according to the detection each player steering faces. Canoes can only be found in rivers with 2-4 knight mobs (Archers/Pawns(25% chance) (20% of having a chest), but their would only be a 6% spawn chance. Canoes come in all wood variants.
Ships would be 5 blocks in with and 16 blocks in length. Ships are 20-30% slower then boats, required 1 player to start the ship, and one for each cannon. Each ship can have 2(40%), 3(10), 4(30%), or no(20%) cannons and will have a 50% chance or replacing missing cannons with chests. Ships can only be leaded to blocks, not other ships; however, you can lead boats/canoos to ships to hang them from the sides, place them where their are no chests or cannons, or to drag extra or occupied boats/canoes. You can use banners to add a flag with the same design as the banner itself and use dye to change the color of the sails. Using gold power will give the sails a white striped design and you will only be able to change the color of the stripes unless you get rid of the stripes with gunpowder. The sails can be damaged/torn or rid-off by hitting it with a weapon. You can fix sails by using string. The more sales the ship has, the faster the ship will go. You can click on the sails to open or close them. Ships will not move with all the sails closed. You can always use a lead to slowly possession the ship's where you need them if you are on land. They can also be made to sink by damaging them using other cannons, TNT, or fire chargers. You could also use Fire to burn the ship (it will take 15 seconds for each part of the ship to burn completely. Each part will explode into 5-8 wooden plank items and will place 2-3 blocks of wooden planks, slabs, chests (from the ship's chests filled with the same items), or trap doors of the same wood variant right where that side was destroyed at level of the water's height). To sink a ship, you must destroy the front, middle, or back of the ship. Ships can only be found and only spawn in Castles in oceans with knight mobs (Pawns) and come in all wood variants. Ships have a 10% chance of spawning in ocean biomes (70% chance if near castles) and their is a 5% chance for a burnt ship to spawn in the nether lava lakes. Burnt/Nether ships can not burn, but they can still be damaged by cannons and fire chargers. Their sails are black by default. Dying the color of the sails of a Nether ship will change them to a darker version of the regular dye color (this includes the colors of the banner designs). You can also place any Head at the front of a ship.
Cannons are a very important part of the idea for these ships, so for the purpose of the idea, I'll give some more detail on them.
Cannons can be crafted, using a crafting table, with a dispenser in and beside the middle, redstone on the other side of the dispensers, Gun powder all over the top, an Iron block at the button in the middle, an Iron Trapdoor below the redstone, and a blaze rod in the other side of the Iron block (below one of the dispensers). Canons can fall like anvils and are stationary, but can be moved around using mine carts and rails. Like chests, they can not be placed on ships (they would have to already be spawned in with the ship). Cannons would be the best way to shoot down ships and can sometimes also be used against other mobs or players. Using a cannon would allow you to turn the turret to aim by moving your view. To shoot the cannon, you'll need to be holding a flint&steal and use the attack button or shoot one with a flaming arrow. You'll also need to refill the cannon each time by using Fire Chargers, Fire Works, Or Iron blocks and Gunpowder. Shooting Iron will cause a TNT explosion but does no damage to blocks. Trying to shoot TNT will cause the cannon to explode. The front of the cannon will always cause a small explosion but without causing any damage to blocks. Cannons can only shoot with 5 times the strength of a dispenser and can not be activated by redstone. You can not turn the turret any more then 165°(total rotation) from the direction it was placed and you can not walk or jump while using a cannon.
(Ships and canoes are uncraftable variants of boats but with their own unique usefulness)

I likes the ideas of cannons but not the ships and canoes, for me it would be a good thing if players could make their own ships so players could make a variety of ships instead of 2

Thanks. But Ships could not be crafter and only found in castles.
I guess this idea of the ships cant be crafted and only found in castles is very bad,do you think is really worth it to found a castle just to get a ship?

It was apparently leaked too early so who knows if it will actually come to be, but apparently boats are already slated to be lead-attachable. Since it was just an unfortunate tweet picture and no actual details (and I believe it being something in the Bedrock edition's development rather than in Java's), we don't yet know if this portends eventual entity-to-entity chaining to allow for barge "trains".

Can not be crafted. Can only be found. around castles. In oceans.
I added a link to the Castle idea to the thread.
Sorry if my replies are a bit late. I just created the thread and am still going back and forth fixing mistakes and stuff I forgot.
