Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this community, and well, you could say to Minecraft too.
I've been thinking about some stuff (most of it, sadly, I can't remember it clearly, but I have the main points) that could 'be cool' to put them on the game, so I'll try to explain myself as best as I can.
Snow Blocks/Ice Blocks: I'm sure this has already been suggested, but, wouldn't it be cool to build stuff with snow or even with ice? The block could be done with 4 snowballs, or for to make it more harder, could use the same system the brick blocks use; 4 balls of clay (snow) would make a clay brick (snow brick?) and 4 of those would make a brick block (snow block)
The Ice crafting would be something like, (oh, I can actually make a graphic with the smileys, cool :tongue.gif:)

being a snow brick. being a bucket with water.
This is just and example of the unpolished idea, but hopefully you guys will get my point.
Trap Doors: This could be extremely useful to make, well uhm, traps :Pig:, aswell as to make the construction a little bit more complex. They could be just with the same door graphic (what I'm not sure is how it would fit best, with the upper part with the little windows, or the lower part.), and they could also come with the iron/wood versions.
The most basic example of a trap with these (I think it can already be made without the need of trapdoors, but it'll sure make things easier, like the new Redstone Repeater) would be: (oh my, it's REALLY more easy to make my point with this smileys!) ----- [] [] [] [] ----- [] [] [] [] -----

being Cobblestone. being Sand or Gravel, whatever it suffocates (sand seemed more contrasting, so I used sand). being the Trapdoor
[] being Air being a Pressure Plate
So in the end, it would just be a horizontal door, instead of a vertical, sizing only 1 unit.
Vines: I think this would fit more in the esthetical part more than for building purpose.
The idea is, let's say, when the tree leafs break, they have a small chance of dropping one of this vine seeds (they could also appear naturally around some high trees, or the flat sides of some mountains). The growing system (haven't tought much about it) would go something like this:
From the block where it's planted, (Dirt, most likely) they can grow vertical and horizontally, but they can only 'turn' only one block.
Let's smiley-graphic it :tongue.gif:

This is how it would look recently planted (from the top).

being Cobblestone, or Stone, or anything the vine would like to hang of. being the vine.
[] being Air.
Here it would be fully grown. You see it 'turns' (I'm sorry, since English is not my native language, I can't seem to find the best fitting words for these odds explanations) one block to the right, not necessarily has to turn all of its vertical size, it could be more random, or whatever it makes it look more plant-like.
Now if I wanted a vine to grow here I'd have to plant another vine seed from the bottom.
The most interesting feature of this, I'd say, is that you could, given certain circumstances (aka not assuming it's a levitating plant), remove the blocks the vine is attached to, leaving of course, some in the top or somewhere where the plant can actually hang of.
It could be a really good mood booster for the underground caves, too (it could have variations of colour or type, depending the area/biome/wheater/whatever). Say you enter a cave, and as you enter you see all this vegetation hanging from the ceiling, and in the outer walls... I don't know, it just sounds good to me.
While this is not the mooost descriptive picture evah, I couldn't find something better, but if you look closely, you can see all the planty details there are in the rock.
Anyways, I think that's all. If I come across something else I'll post it.
Needless to say, from what I've seen so far, this looks like a great community, so you'll probably see me around a little bit... same goes with the game itself, epci sh1t!!!111one
Greetings. If by any chance this wasn't clear enough, I'll try to explain it better, I again apologize since sometimes my English can be a little weird.
Oh, yes, I just remembered, why the Mossy Cobblestone is now called Moss Stone? I think it was fine the other way, same with Sulphur, but meh.
For something to be made out of snow would require snow to be an easy to craft block unlike brick. And honestly, while it's a overused building material in reality, I have never seen anyone use it in a game. And that may be because of it's building complexity. Trap doors, in my opinion, would be more fun to make out of the existing blocks, rather than out of trap door blocks, as making your own traps is the pinnacle of emphasizing what the point of minecrft is all about: creativity. Vines seem like a pretty artistic idea, but (Maybe I missed it out) what would they be used for?

Just that, it would be mainly aesthetic and decorational.
I once thought about making (well, not like I could actually make them, right?) them climbable, while you could climb vertically without the restrictions of the ladder block... it would maybe render the ladder less useful, or maybe not. Who knows.
