Enderdragon Unleashed would be a new, improved version of the Ender dragon boss fight.
The Arrival
The first thing that's different about the Dragon fight would be that the crystals would be slightly changed. First, they do not heal the dragon, instead, they produce an impenetrable forcefield around her. Secondly, the beam they produce is actually a glowing, white chain connected to two shackles on the Dragon's front legs. The next thing that's different is that there's music playing. It would be named Huh!?, and it would get faster with every crystal you break. It would induce a feeling of panic and uneasiness in the player. Once the player has destroyed all but one crystal, "Last Chance!" will play. This song is supposed to make the player think twice about breaking the final crystal, as if they're doing something wrong. The final thing that's different is the Dragon itself. Its only attacks would be charging at you and the occasional fireball. Also, it's completely invincible. That is, until you destroy the final crystal.
The Battle Begins!
Once you break the final crystal, the dragon will start convulsing. The screen would start shaking. Then, with a flash of a light, the forcefield on the Dragon will shatter, and she will let out an ear-piercing roar! The battle has truly begun!
Info
Let's get into the stats first. The Dragon has a total of 200 Hearts. It will also do 7/10/14 damage depending on difficulty.
There's also the Dragon's appearance, which is a lot less dull than the original. One of its eyes has an arrow stuck in it, with dried blood which was once leaking out of it. She's also covered with scars. The line of spikes on its back have been replaced with an Eternally-burning, purple flame. It also has horns reminiscent to that of a ram. On its front legs are two shackles with broken chains attached to them. Chains that YOU broke. Finally, at the end of its tail is a Crescent-Moon-shaped blade.
During the fight, a song called "The End is Nigh" will play. This song is actually a metal remix of calm4.ogg, a test song made by Notch in the game's Alpha. Minus the M O J A N G S P E C I F I C A T I O N S.
Attacks
This Dragon has a few tricks up its...sleeves? Do dragons have sleeves?
Dragon Breath: The Dragon goes to the Exit Portal, and starts spitting dragon breath, which an be collected with a bottle.
Rush: The Dragon charges at the player, dealing immense damage, as well as knockback.
Fireball: The Dragon fires a barrage of fireballs at the player. These explode on contact, leaving Purple fire in its wake. There are different patterns and ways in which the Dragon shoots these fireballs, such as big and slow, in a spiral pattern, or rapid-fire.
Ender-Laser: Before you complain that "Oh, ShRoOmY, lAsErs ArEn'T mInEcRaFtY." Guardians have lasers. 'Nuff said. Now then, a third eye emerges from the dragons forehead, which then begins to charge up energy. Once it gets a full charge, it proceeds to blast a gigantic death-ray, about the width of a beacon. This death ray produces purple shockwaves, which the player must jump over. It also leaves a hole where it blasts, along with the aforementioned purple flames.
Acid: The Dragon spits out a constant stream of Acid, which has similar properties to water. If you come in contact with the lethal liquid, you will gain an affect similar to the Wither affect, except it goes away once you step out of it. The acid will disappear once the attack finishes. Imagine a water source block coming from the Dragon’s mouth.
Teleport: The Dragon will spawn a circular portal and enter said portal. Another portal will spawn, and the dragon will emerge out of it. This can combo into many different attacks such as:
Teleport-Fireball: The dragon will emerge half way out of the portal, and start shooting Fireballs. It will then go back inside the portal and disappear.
Teleport-Rush: A portal will appear facing the player's direction. After about a second, the Ender dragon will rush out of the portal and charge in the player's direction. The Dragon will sometimes spawn a portal in front of it, so it will charge back into the portal, so it could combo into another teleportation move, or start a Rush-chain, where it does the move over and over again.
Teleport-Crash: A variation of the Teleport-Rush, where the dragon crashes into the ground, causing Endstone blocks to fly in all directions, dealing damage if they hit something. This attack usually finishes a Rush-chain.
Teleport-Blast: The Dragon fires a laser into a portal. Multiple portals then form, which will blast the laser, usually with another portal at the end, so the laser doesn't end. This is called a Laser-Chain.
Telepunch: A portal appears next to the player, and the Dragon's fist emerges and attempts to punch the player.
Teleport-Acid: The Dragon will spit a torrent of acid down a portal. Multiple portals will then appear above the player. Which rain down this acid.
Dragon Call: The Dragon will let out a loud roar. This cry will attract "Lesser Dragons". These dragons are juvenile versions if the Ender Dragon, and are willing to serve her at any cost! They will mimic most attacks the Dragon can perform, except with some differences.
They all do half the damage as normal.
They can't use the Ender Laser.
They only have 40hp.
They can't teleport on their own.
End-rage: The Dragon's Third eye will emerge once more. The dragon will open her left hand, and form a purple barrier around a group of Endermen. The Dragon will then slowly close her hand as the barrier turns red, and the endermen become enraged. The Dragon will then let out a deep, demonic laugh as the endermen chase you. However, these endermen cannot teleport.
Rock Throw- The Enderdragon will make use of her third eye once more, using it to pick up and fling endstone at the player. You'll know which ones she'll throw, due to the fact that they have a purple glow to them.
Tail-whip: The Dragon will land and start lashing her tail at you. It can do this up to six times before, flying again.
Black Hole: The Dragon will summon a portal and then fly into it. The portal will then turn purple and begin sucking in every entity around it. You'll have to run in the opposite direction of the Black Hole in order to escape. However, if this attack will always end with a Quasar. Getting sucked in by the black hole will lead to a ton of damage being delt, which then leads to the player being thrown a distance of five blocks in a random directions.
Quasar: The Quasar would always follow a Black Hole. The black hole will fire four lasers in all the cardinal directions. These lasers would begin to spin around counter clockwise, forcing the player to move in a circular motion. After the attack is complete, the Dragon will re-emerge from the portal.
Slaying the Dragon
While swords and arrows can be used during the fight, the main method of killing the Dragon is by using its own attacks against it. For instance:
During the Black Hole attack, placing down a TNT block and lighting it will cause the explosive to get sucked in and blow up, causing the Dragon to fly out and land on the ground. This will leave her stunned for a few seconds, leaving an opening for you to slash at her.
Hitting a flying Endstone block will hit it in the direction of where you’re looking. Knockback enchantments will amplify this. Hitting the Dtagon with the block will deal damage, as well as cause them to crash into the ground, stunned.
Hitting the Dragon’s third eye while its charging will cause a mini explosion, dealing considerable damage. However, this shot is very difficult to make, as the Dragon flies around. You’ll have to have some luck on your side.
Throwing a throwable object in the Dragon’s mouth while she calls her mini Dragons will cause her to swallow and choke on the object, dealing minor damage.
Other methods such as shooting the dragon with arrows are also effective.
The Ending
Upon defeat, the dragon will die similarly to how it does already. The purple fog around the end will dissipate, leaving only a beautiful view of space, and even the earth. It also has a couple more interesting drops.
The Dragon's Eye: Along with some sticks, this can be crafted into the Ender Staff. This Magic Weapon shoots a torrent of Endflames, the Dragons's fire. It will set even fire resistant enemies on fire, dealing a lot of damage.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Enderdragon isn't the best boss fight. THat's a shame, since she's literally the final boss. Final bosses should be tough, so does this one.
Let me know what you think in the comments! Did you love it or hate it? Do you think it should actually be added into the game? Constructive criticism always helps! Thanks!
Having put so much effort into upgrading the mob into an unbeatable engine of annihilation, can you now detail a reasonable effective method for defeating it? [One not relying on either a large group of cooperating players in heavily tricked out kit or extensive preparation of the central end island.]
While the above might be adapted into a climactic anime battle, this focus of MineCraft is (unsurprisingly) mining & crafting , not the slaying of the uber-tarrasque.
Might find an appreciative audience as a mod, but not a good candidate for vanilla…

WARNING: I have an extemely "grindy" playstyle; YMMV — if this doesn't seem fun to you, mine what you can from it & bin the rest.
Update: Added a list of effective s methods to kill the Dragon. Don’t know why I didn’t put that before.
Also, as a side note to Scotsmiser. Terraria is also a game about mining and crafting. That game also has awesome bosses, like the Moonlord. But then again, the game’s about fighting monsters, so...? Also, stop acting like anything that is relatively tough or contains an attack pattern that isn’t just walking up to the player and hitting them is “Not Minecraft-y”. That argument is good sometimes, but other times, it’s flat out ridiculous. Plus, we shouldn’t leave all the action to mods. That’s a terrible idea. I shouldn’t have to download a mod loader(which needs to be for the specific version that you’re playing) and then go to an unofficial website to download a mod JUST to actually have some action in Minecraft. I have nothing against you, but still, remember when to use the Not Minecraft-y argument.
The addition of special attack modes available during the various new dragon attacks is of some help in moderating the proposed Great Ancient Wyrm...
Many details are still lacking eg what happens if one is sucked into the Black Hole? Is there / What are range limits to the various attacks? How tall are the Quasar beams (vertical movement seems an easier way to dodge than circling)?
Others need clarification: the acid attack is described as a "constant stream", but the acid "will disappear once the attack finishes"; this implies that the acid stream is not constant, but occurs only during an attack. [Again frequency, range, area of effect, etc. need numbers.]
As a side note:
If one man's opinion of what ought not be added to MC because it is detracts/distracts from the historically successful style of the program is invalid, so too is any opinion that an addition ought be added because it will improve/fill a void in the game.
Terraria is noted as being another game in the genre ["mining and crafting"], but having a greater focus on "fighting monsters". This suggests that the genre is experiencing the sort of radiative evolution and product differentiation to be expected as it matures. As some of the radiating branches will lead in mutually exclusive directions, it is also to be expected that no one game within the genre will be able to fully support all the evolved playstyles (and those that try will risk collapse under the weight of the required overhead).
Minecraft's use of mods to allow comparatively individual adaptation of the game gives it a strong competitive edge both by supporting a wider variety of players than would otherwise be possible as well as providing a test bed for new ideas (eg the piston mechanics).
With the above in mind, I stand by my contention that – while the addition of an uber-tarrasque might find an audience, it is farther from the roots of Minecraft than would be wise to go.

While I do agree with some points and Minecraft is a game about crafting and mining, it is also just as much a game of exploration and action. The dragon fight has already been changed once in 1.9 and many have had positive responses, but it wasn't exactly perfect.
@Shroom_Kid
Would this new dragon fight remove the dragon's ability to spit out dragon's breath? Would it also limit the attack that makes it go to the unlit ender portal and start attacking? If so, would you please change it. I like most of the attacks besides the teleport.
Teleport: Make it so that the only teleport attack is the teleport rush becaus it makes the most sense. An animation for an ender dragon going backwards would be hard to not make it look sloppy. This could also be combined with the black hole. It would suck enitites such as armor stands, players, and primed tnt in. The player would have to prime tnt before the dragon comes out.
Acid: Maybe poison would be a cool acid attack, but the dragon already has this with the dragon's breath attack added in 1.9. It's basically a bunch of purple particles which make you take damage. Once you right click it w/ a bottle, it will give you dragon's breath.
Ending: I don't like the idea of another armor set. There are already quite a few. The ender staff is a cool concept, but it is in someway what tipped arrows and lingering potions due. Lingering potions are made with dragon's breath because they imitate the long lasting purple particles except w/ a potion effect.
I never said anything about the Dragon going backwards. That sounds really dumb. If you’re taking about The Black Hole, the suction doesn’t start until the Dragon flies into the portal. For the Teleport-Furball. The Dragon just pokes its head out and starts shooting. I don’t get where I said the dragon went backwards. backwards
