With the new 1.13 aquatic/technical update rolling around the majority of us should already know about the shipwrecks. As the devs stated the ship wrecks will hold treasure and I think they should add a unique item to the shipwreck to make it worth the trouble finding. The item that i'm talking about that they should add is nothing other then the amulet! the amulet can only be found in shipwrecks. there would be many types of amulets to be found in shipwrecks and all of them will provide a different positive potion effect. For an example, if I were to find a Amulet of Regeneration then if I wear it I will gain regen 1 or, when you wear the Amulet of Strength you'll will gain strength 1. there should be a spot in an inventory (like where you put your armor) where you can place the amulet and wear it. you can only wear one amulet at a time and the amulet's potion effects can only go up to level one. I hope this idea gets added so the trouble for finding a shipwreck would be worth it.
Breaking the description into paragraphs, attending to grammar and punctuation, as well as using some mix of style, indentation, color, typeface, spacing, and size to better organize the presentation would be appreciated.
I've yet to see enough of the UA to have an opinion on how hard shipwrecks will be to find. (Also, announced dolphin behavior includes leading players to wrecks.)
Rather than necessitation changing a change to the inventory GUI [the new amulet slot]:
Amulets (some types of which could well be specific to shipwreck loot) could be irreversibly "fused" with a specific instance of a piece of armor – suggest the usual choice be the chestplate (to increase the benefit of forgoing elytra) or the helm – on anvil.
Amulets would then function roughly like books targeted at only the one armor slot.
As a possible expansion, certain amulets (eg Strength) could be fused to a specific weapon/tool (ie. one amulet is fused to one specific sword).
Clearly, consideration as to which effects would be reasonable (and to which items they might reasonably be applied) needs to be made…
[Swiftness and leaping seem natural for boots, nightvision for helms, "mining speed" (as haste but only affecting mining speed) on picks seem obvious.]

I like the idea of amulets being fused into armor and other tools to make them more powerful. though some players might find it op. I also agree on needing reasonable effects to it so it isn't completely ridiculous. Maybe there can be three amulets that each individually give regeneration, strength, and resistance 1? (would be a cool way to get resistance without doing any command work or eating Notch Apples)
