different storms/precipitation per biome
snow area-
snowing, and blizzards.
snowing...like the snow in alpha and in blizzards is dense snow were you can hardly see!
rain forests would rain alot
woods/swamps would rain moderatley, plains would have a 1% of rain. plains would also get tornadoes every once and a while tornadoes are able to pick up mobs/snow/gravel/small trees/you and throw them. and near shorelines (except for near/at snow biomes) would get the occasional hurricane. its like a tornado but with heavy rain and can pick up large trees. and in desert biomes would have..you guessed it, sandstorms. it would be a scale 1-5
1. would be 5% speed reduction, 2. would be 10% speed reduction 3. would be 20% speed reduction and it would be hard to see 4. every so often sand would smash into you and take away half a heart 30% speed reduction, and harder to see. 5. more often sand would hit you taking away 1 and a half hearts. 35% speed reduction. very hard to see
Possible lag yes? Then again unlikely. I like this idea and half of the minecraft players probably do, but Only time will tell.

hm. true, how about these storms only happen a certain radius from the character? like back in creative the f5 rain stops like 15 blocks from the character.
I definitely think that some sort of weather system needs to be implemented into the actual game. And if it causes lag, allow for the option to turn it off.
