You go out on a distant journey to find a tundra. Aha! A tundra. And an ice pool. What's that under the ice? Looks like a statue. You break the ice. It is! A gargoyle, specifically. You bring it home and nestle it in your grand room. In the night, you hear screeching, and the gargoyle is gone. The last thing you see is green eyes and a large smile.
A gargoyle would, in general, be a statue you find in the wild. At night, the stone melts away and a black beast comes out. comes out.
Looks?
Kind of stereotypical gargoyles, except with large smiles and green eyes. :U
Just imagine a gargoyle with Fawful's smile.
At day, their smile fades to a frown, and they return to the placement area.
That would be nice actually. What happens when you kill it though, does it return to the place where you set it or just die?
It would add to the scenery of most places as good statues for castles, and at night on a difficulty higher than peaceful you could have flying over world mobs to view, and fight if you were close enough.
It would be like a game of Duck Hunt, except the ducks are gargoyles, and you are using a bow.
