The clouds in minecraft, to my knowledge, are on a bitmap image that doesn't change in any biome. The new clouds would become larger and smaller based on elevation and biome, disappearing over deserts, mesas, and savannahs, and becoming larger and grouping up on hills.
This isn't actually a terrible suggestion. Although i'm not suggesting that MC should be more realistic, this is a nice small step in a good way, adding some versatile to the game. Support
This sounds cool, but how often does the terrain map update?

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.
Full support, if that changed I think another good idea is just revamp the whole weather system, oceans, and jungles have more clouds and depending on the biome that can change, and nothing like natural disasters or such but a more dynamic atmosphere based off of it in general sounds amazing. Of course that can create lag, but let us be honest, the only people still playing on java edition mostly have good enough pc's to run shaders, correct me if I am wrong but I think we can handle a bulkier system.

Developer, server management, system admin. You want it, I do it!
Can already imagine clouds grouping around peaks in Amplified worlds. The image there does this suggestion a lot of justice. Nicely done. I'm on board with this.
Don't think I ever thought to notice clouds enough to care about that, but it's a decent idea anyway.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.

I've always hated how clouds go right through tall buildings or mountains. My only concern is that it might be too laggy for something so small.
Support.
I support this. Maybe have it not rain at the exact same time throughout the whole map (excluding dry biomes which dont rain at all).
A surprisingly competent suggestion, support

Figured it was time for a change.
Same, I'm already planning on doubling my ram, so this stuff would become a piece of cake to run. Support, mainly for the aesthetics.
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
