RUN\SPRINT:
-You can use it for running from monsters, Or inside a group that u wish to run away.
-More functions in game.
-After setting up Sprint in character, it is possible to add this option to some mobs.
-The sprint gives you addition power to ur jump, So you could Free run or something.
-Have a better playing time with it.
-You can travel faster.
Some fuctions with the sprint:
-Sprint takes energy, I know there isnt Energy in game, But something like if you sprint alot, You will need to eat food or drink water to retrieve lost energy.
-In water, it will affect on your swimming, So you can swim faster.
-Getting hurt while sprinting will cause you to fall or to stop.
Yeah, it would take a system of exhaustion to get it to work.
What key would run/sprint be bound to?
How long do you propose a player to be able to run?
I'd say that a player requires sugar to run and consumes sugar at a rate of 2 every second. Having a full stack of sugar allows a player to run continuously for 32 seconds.

Pretty much the best mechanic for this idea.
A good trigger method would just right clicking a stack of sugar will give your character some visible effect (no sparkles. No just no.) indicating the effect is active.
Or maybe a keypress for easier toggling.
I don't know the default config off hand so that's up in the air (I bound all (well most of the) keys to G keys. >_>).
