I know I mentioned zebras in the last thing, but.. Here you go.
-
Appearance: Zebras look much like zebras in real life, more specifically the Plains Zebra. They also take the same base as horses, just slightly larger. They have black and white stripes, but unlike real life zebras, their stripe pattern doesn't really vary from zebra to zebra. Foals look like adult zebras (and horse foals), yet they're smaller.
-
Hostility level: Passive/tameable.
-
Behavior: Zebras act just like horses, wandering around and possibly allowing a player to tame them. You tame them just like you tame horses, but zebras usually have a higher temper and it therefore might be harder to tame them.
-
Biome: Zebras usually only spawn in Savanna biomes. They can spawn in other places too, but this is exceedingly rare, and if they do they'll usually try to look for a savanna biome if they can find one (and provided there actually is one in the world).
-
Breeding: Zebras can be bred with wheat, hay bales, or golden apples. The process is identical to other animals that breed. This will drop 1-2 EXP.
Zebras can also breed with horses and will create an okapi, which can also be tamed and ridden and can carry chests, and zebras and donkeys can breed as well which creates a zedonk (which can function like a mule in most ways but like mules they're infertile). Okapis and zedonks also have their own spawn eggs and can spawn naturally.
-
Drops: They usually drop 1-2 EXP when killed, as well as 1-3 leather and 1-5 raw zebra meat (but this will be cooked zebra meat if the zebra is on fire when killed). Zebra meat restores 2 hunger points when raw and 5 hunger points when cooked.
-
Immune/resistant to: Zebras are slightly more resistant to fire (as reference to how zebras live in hot climates), but can still die from being on fire.
-
Sounds: Zebras make similar sounds to real life zebras (and horses in Minecraft) however, they are slightly modified.
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it's a horse with stripes? not really sure how the fire thing is usefull sense there's almost nothing to light you on fire in the overworld, I would say a simple horse/ donky/mule reskin would be better, sense that's what these things seem to be
Minimul support
also, aren't okapis closer related to giraffes then Zebras?
It would be nice having more specific savannah animals being that is has a lot of large mammal diversity in real life, zebras are also very symbolic for savannas, Also zebras are slightly smaller than horses, about the same size of a donkey and you can't ride them because their backs aren't as strong. It would still be cool to see zebras in minecraft
