1. A shield. It would protect your sides, and front. it would function as a tool, not armor. it would cover 30-50% of the outside of the screen, with a slit to see out of.
2. runes. they would give you powers... like flying for 30 secs, or 10 heart heal 1-time. made out of mossy cobblestone, obsidian,or actual stone.
3.Magical weps. would never break. but same efficiancy as wooden tools. would be made the same way as all tools... but with runes, or mossy cobblestone or obsidian.
4. goblin/ elf villages. they you can make friends with a goblin/ elf village or make enemys with it. almost like 3 dungeons put together. but with the choice of peace or war. and you can pay them in supplies to stay one night. like there would be an inn and if you pay them. an iron door opens. (all bricks are indestructable until village is dead. or peacful. there would be a 10 % chance for a village to spawn every 200-500 blocks.
5. shopkeepers/ traders. you can trade or purchace items from them... they can sell ( if lucky) records, MONSTER SPAWNERS, daimonds, iron, gold, and other useful things. and would mostly appear in villages.
6. Goblin/ elf village panles. you can make peace or war with these. you would make a treaty out of an ink sac in the middle and paper around it. you can ask for a goblin/ elf companion that you place down and he follows you up till 1000 blocks. then he explodes.
7. being able to ride spiders. (requires spider saddle, can be crafted)
8. new minerals, such as brass (to make instuments), copper (to make armor, or coins for villages), or lead ( to sign a treaty)
9.intruments. made from brass, used to make friends with villages or to befriend animals.
10.command bar. used to command your companion or befriended animals. and the animal you are riding.

2) The components are overpowered comparative to the net benefit. Cobblestone is the most common substance, so having the ability to fly seems broken (really, broken in any context).
3) If Magical weapons/tools would never break, people would use these and forgo higher-tier weapons. No substance should be indestructible except adminium.
4) A bold suggestion here, you may want to expand on this idea a bit more.
5) There is no system of currency (yet) so it would be difficult to balance. I also do not approve as it stands naturally opposed to the system in place in MC.

As a request, to better get any/all of your suggestions accepted; make individual topics per idea. The only one that really strikes me as needing gross elaboration is suggestion 4. Please take the time to flush this idea out completely.

Starting town you would spawn here. it would be abandoned, and only have the buildings. there would be a 10-20% chance of some basic supplies in a chest.
uniting you would be able to unite some towns to form a small empire.once you have 2-3 villages under your command, you can draft/ recruit some goblins to start an army! and wage war on other villages or empires!
self funconing empires kinda like yours... but spawned. every village has a 10 % chance of being a small one. (1% chance of finding 1)
super empires 2-3 empires morphed into 1! can house an army of up to 100 goblins/ elfs!
elfs and goblins if you have a goblin or elf town, it will be hard to befrind another village of a different species. elfs are good archers, equipped with semi target seaking arrows. goblins have leather armor and are skilled with a sword. if you unite two of these villages. they each will spawn both. and in the middle will be a capital.
capitals like a major village. can house 25 troops. and has a 50% chance of having a forge. (a goblin/elf that makes armor out of iron and leather and wepons out of wood and iron and rock. at a steady rate (5-10 min)
okay, not trying to control this or anything, but i think you should dump the other ideas (besides the instruments and idea 4. and 6. and 1.) and join the ones in the parentheses together to form one monster colony thread. of course if you do take my advice, anyone reading this comment in the future after you edited would think i'm crazy.
