Hey guys, I've been thinking a lot about the MC crafting system, and realised there really isn't much to make.
Cake, Bread and Stew are really the only main things.
Here are some suggestions I have come up with.
-- = Bread
Bread + = Toast
Toast + = Portabella Mushroom on Toast [Toast will heal 1/2-1 heart higher than regular bread]

Bread/Toast + Knife (not an object .. yet) = Diced bread/toast
Diced Bread + Bowl = Unfinished Bread Stew
UBS + water = Cool bowl of bread dices
CBBD + + Mushroom (red/brown) = Finished Diced Bread Stew. [DBS will heal 7 hearts due to the amount of stuff you need to make it, and the rarity of mushrooms]

Egg + = Fried Egg(s)
Fried Egg(s) + / + Bowl = "Eze Brekfazt"
EZE BF + Milk = ???
Both will heal 5 hearts, and can only be eaten AFTER sleeping.
EDIT: Also, maybe 3 wheat + bowl + milk = cereal?

Well, yes, but not everyone **** bolts into the Nether straight away :3
And by AFTER sleeping, I mean, after going to bed, waking up, they may eat the meal anywhere from after they wake up to 12PM (ingame time).
If they don't sleep after that, they cannot eat the meal.
Eh, it's all good. But my statement isn't invalidated either.
Your claim was to make mushroom based food heal a lot due to rarity. I countered that mushrooms are not entirely rare (they ain't exactly common either, but still).
And I never said that I DID "****-bolt" into the nether. I just made a notion that, while initially mushrooms are rare, they become common the longer you play. Due to this, an imbalance would be created.
Johnsta also has a point. Combine a few of the recipes so that it's not "you need a component to make a component for a component of the completed part".
I know you didn't, it's an Australian term, dw about it. And to Jon w/e No ****, Sherlock. That's the point, it's just expanded recipes, not a complete changeover mod.

Also, the values you've given are rather high;
and the time window for eating eggs/fried is not noted. How long does a player have to eat after using the bed?
10 seconds? 1 minute? etc.
