I would sure love to have Turkey for this Thanks Giving’s Dinner. Wouldn’t you? Sadly, we don’t have Turkeys in Vanilla Minecraft. So much for Thanks Giving Dinner with far relatives through VMC. I guess we’ll just have to ask the developers to add them to VMC. (Annual Texture (like chests in Christmas))
Original Idea:
They could be Just like Chickens (But a bit faster and need 2 critical strikes with a diamond sword (1 With a diamond axe) to kill a Turkey) but drop Turkey with maybe 5 extra Hunger bars added to you existing Hunger bars. (After cooked to Turkey Roast) [Everyone knows that people do tend to get full in giving thanks] (Turkeys can only spawn naturally in Thanks Giving (48 hr. limit)). You can still use commands &/or Spawn Eggs &/or Mob Spawners to spawn them.
(This is the only thing that I can think of that will get me to visit the Desert Biome. (since 1.10)) NO MORE FEAR! Well... maybe a little? The fear will remain but will diminish a bit.
[If your thinking Redundant: Think Lamas. No? Ok how about Husks or strays? ]
In the game: they will be considered a Chicken Variant (the first annual Variant). Their rarity will make them a fun surprise for the holidays (especially other countries as an unexpected surprise (Especially to those who don't know thanksgiving)).
Help me fight for chariots! And help me find a world where Players rom freely throughout the lands filled with animals and lush vegetation! The Game of MINECRAFT needs me! It needs YOU!!!
I would sure love to have Turkey for this Thanks Giving’s Dinner. Wouldn’t you? Sadly, we don’t have Turkeys in Vanilla Minecraft. We already have Chicken, Potatoes and Pumpkin pie for a Thanksgiving dinner. No need for turkeys. So much for Thanks Giving Dinner with far relatives through VMC. I guess we’ll just have to ask the developers to add them to VMC. They could be Just like Chickens but drop Turkey with maybe 5 extra Hunger bars added to you existing Hunger bars. More hunger bars?(After cooked to Turkey Roast) [Everyone knows that people do tend to get full in giving thanks] If you get full from Thanksgiving meals, shouldn't that fill your hunger bars, not add more?(Turkeys can only spawn naturally in Thanks Giving (48 hr. limit)). Why only on Thanksgiving? You can still use commands &/or Spawn Eggs &/or Mob Spawners to spawn them.
[If your thinking Redundant: Think Lamas] Llamas? Redundant? Try again.(Happy Thanks Giving by giving thanks to the Developers )

Comments in bold. Suggestion needs improvement. Making them spawn only on Thanksgiving just doesn't make sense. Also you need to give us some stats about these turkeys. Saying that you want them for Thanksgiving isn't a good reason to add them.
Give some stats about the turkeys, like health and behavior. Will do Also the devs don't come to this site. That doesn't mean they can't or will never. and it's just a nice thing to say (Write). Right?
"We already have Chicken, Potatoes and Pumpkin pie for a Thanksgiving dinner. No need for turkeys" Thanksgiving WITHOUT Turkey?
Everyone knows that it's not Thanksgiving without turkey.
If you get full from Thanksgiving meals, shouldn't that fill your hunger bars, not add more? Think of them as Notch Apples. But instead of it being for your hearts it's for your hunger.
Why only on Thanksgiving? The same reason that Notch Apples are rare and you can't place present textured chests unless it's Christmas.
Comments in bold. Suggestion needs improvement. Ok. Making them spawn only on Thanksgiving just doesn't make sense. They wouldn't exactly be 100% balanced. Also you need to give us some stats about these turkeys. Will do Saying that you want them for Thanksgiving isn't a good reason to add them. I think I can understand.
i dont like turkey really. i prefer steaks or porkchops I know, Stakes are awesome! (I personally like Turkey just the same though) But did you know that "about 90% of all Pork Products are likely to contain parasites"? (Doctor Oz)
A ridiculously rare mob drops something that fills more hunger bars than you have? Is that what this is? Close. An annual mob that adds more Hunger Bars. (Great for going up against Husks)
How about just an alternate texture for chickens and chicken meat on Thanksgiving? I think a new mob for this is redundant. I understand that it would seam kind of redundant, but just like lamas: they have their own use. They would be the only mob that will drop meat that will give you an extra Hunger Bar. how ever, they would be categorized as a variant of the Chicken in the game (As an annual type).
adding a mob for a holiday 99% of the world doesn't even celebrate? You'd be surprised how many people Don't celebrate Christmas but especially Halloween. (Real Christians (Not just Jews guys) do not celebrate these because it violates what the bible teaches) Minecraft isn't exclusively American, you know! Yes.
And they're even unneccessarily rare, (Like the fact that on Halloween mobs are harder to kill with Pumpkins on their heads. but this would actually help balance Halloween) and kinda unbalance the already unbalanced hunger system. (This WOULD help balance the 1.9 Combat system a bit [Annually]) No reason to add these. I bet you're really good at hunting skellies. But this mob has it's own use.

I don't see the point, really. Why should this be in the game? Because of a vague desire?
So a mob that only spawns on an American holiday? One that serves no actual function other than to add more Thanksgiving food? Yeah, no.
We really don't need more random, edible pixels. And making it have a "saturation boost" effect (adding a second hunger bar) wouldn't be enough for it to be worthwhile.
No support.

If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
