Minecraft is more of a old fasion type games, so old that not even a typewriter would fit in minecraft, trains are a bit of a streach dont you think?
This argument has never held any water. Based on real world age of invention trains and typewriters both, would fit in perfectly fine.
Not in Minecraft: Typewriter: "After their invention in the 1860s" Trains: "The first trains were rope-hauled, gravity powered or pulled by horses. From the early 19th century almost all were powered by steam locomotives."
In Minecraft: TNT: "TNT was first prepared in 1863" Jukebox: "The term jukebox came into use in the United States beginning in 1940"

Trains would fit in just fine though perhaps not aesthetically.
I'd rather trains be built up out of minecarts that we leash together somehow (either with leads or with and added in item like chains perhaps) that would cause several in a row to move at once, powered by a furnace or via powered rail rather than something like straight up trains aesthetically speaking. Fits Minecraft's "theme" more (if minecraft can even be said to have a theme).
