My suggestion is that, with command blocks, you can add a custom label. How the label would work would be like how structure blocks have labels when you mouse over them, except it would be for command blocks, and because most command block commands would be too long to fit as a label above it when you mouse over it, it would be a custom label that could be used to say something like "spawn zombie" or "place diamond ore." This would be useful because currently the only way to check the command you have on a specific command block would be to either place a sign above it or to open it up directly, and opening it up directly can be troublesome to use because it takes a short while for the command to load and, if it's a particularly long or abstract command, it can be difficult to tell what it does.
