I have an idea that on a rare basis grass gets set on fire in the savanna biome. This would also mean long/short grass blocks would burn instead of fire appearing on top of them and grass blocks would burn for 5 seconds then turn into dirt. When one grass block is on fire it also spreads destroying trees. This is just an idea so i have a poll to say if they should add this or not and if you have ideas to add on to this one post them below!
Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
Like Cerroz said, why would we want this? In what way will this make the game more interesting? It's not even a challenge, it's just annoying to deal with as fire is hard to put out.

My avatar is Harlequin, king of the fairy forest. (Anime: Nanatsu no Taizai)
The problem with this isn't the fact that it doesn't add challenge or it would be difficult to control and get rid of. It's the fact that this would happen by CHANCE and not by an ultimate cause. Do you think fire just 'appears' on grass normally and is the #1 cause of worldwide forest fires? The most naturally way fire is caused, in real life and in Minecraft, is by Lightning. Granted, there is the possibility of it not being able to take down an entire forest, because that would lag the crap out of your game and that's another reason why forest fires would be a bad idea as well.
It's an interesting idea for dry and hot biomes, but currently, large bushfires are currently impossible to run smoothly with how the game renders fire. Until they change how fires are rendered themselves, this is mostly an un-achievable idea.

MY MODPACK! ~300 MODS! 1.10.2-1.12.2, 1.15.2!
Okay? I don't really see how that's related to anything I've said so far.
Wouldn't just cause lag? Plus I think forest fires can happen if there is a lava pit or something that is in a forest biome
