Obsidian. A great block in Minecraft.
It practically counts as a decoration; I find it beautiful. Oh, and all the uses for it!
But one thing:
It's too hard to obtain!
When I mine in the grounds, there's a 3/10 chance I'll mine far enough to find a lava pool. However (if this makes sense) in those chances is an even slimmer chance (about 1/6) that I will be lucky enough to find water flowing into it, creating obsidian. So I get all happy, right? WRONG! The waterfall is practically endless. I can never find the start to plug it. It'll always flow me into the lava below. I can never get it!
So I just got one suggestion:
Obsidian Ore.
If you think this is a bad idea, fine by me. I just got an opinion.
Thanks for reading,

"Knowledge is power, and power is pretty damn cool."
It's already easy to get. I find more risk of lava death while mining gold. I think it should be craftable into a lot more though: Doors, stairs, etc. Obsidian is great for aesthetics.
Obsidian is a volcanic glass. It does not come in ore, fool. We may be able to punch trees and other things that make no sense, but that doesn't mean we can run around suggesting ****ing ridiculous things. Honestly, obsidian is probably the EASIEST thing in the game to get (for me)... All you have to do is grab some lava in a bucket and MAKE obsidian... People like you complain so much because they're either so lazy they're whining on the forums about it or they're just plain bad at the game.
Its not incredibly hard to get, find 3 iron, make a bucket, get some water, make a shaft down to bedrock, slowly dig until lava. One pool of lava is easily 15 blocks, make a nether portal and get more.
It is quite amazing :3

you can't pour water buckets in the nether
Just collect lava 'from' the Nether, and take it back up to the normal world and then turn it into obsidian.
