The one issue I have with this is I can get as much magma as I want and all it takes is some ladders or a pick. And a block of coal does, what was it, 72 things in a furnace? So if I can mine one hundred magma blocks in about fifteen minutes, I can burn 720 items, for fifteen minutes of work, which means in an hour I can get 400 blocks of magma (Pardon the guesstimating), and in just two and a half hours I can get 1000 magma, which would cook 72,000 things. It may take longer to get magma especially if one would have to move, but with a good pick and a lot of material I belive my numbers could be a semi-rough estimate. Just because I don't need to burn 720 items because I worked for 15 minutes, and because even if you downsized it would still be very easy to get and I could just use coal,
No Support.

Yes that poem is very easy to mess up.
Yeah, I support stuff. Although most of this is between 'would enjoy in game' to 'holy jeez meh needyz!'
This sounds interesting. We can use a lot from the nether to smelt, So why not the magma blocks? Although, I think that it is a bit OP. Magma blocks spawn in big chunks, so just mining a vein of those could get you somewhere around 20 blocks. You can smelt a lot!
I'm not against this, but I think we should slow down the spawn rate of the magma blocks.

Minor correction, which doesn't really change your overall point: a block of coal burns 80 items, not 72. Compacting your coal into blocks is actually slightly more efficient than using lumps of coal, if you're smelting in bulk.

Thanks for pointing that out.
...because I just don't need to burn 800 items for 15 minutes work. Yup sounds much better.

We have quite enough fuel as is, so... neutral stance.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
I personally that they should be able to smelt a similar amount that coal can (Say maybe, 10 items?) because of the abundance of magma blocks in the Nether. I mean, they are literally everywhere in the nether.
does anyone else agree?
i feel like they should have the same fuel time as a block of coal.
If blaze rods and lava can be used for furnace fuel why not magma? Magma is also pretty useless right now.
I think they should have a bit longer fuel time than coal but still less than lava though.
Almost full support
