In real life, wolves might just run from you but they might just attack you, maybe make them have a 50% chance to attack you on sight and 50% chance to run? And if you are holding a bone an angry one will slowly approach you so you can tame it. I know alot of you might not like the idea of angry wolves, you could decrease the chance they have of attacking you in easier difficulties I guess. But this is smarter wolf AI just because they are smarter doesn't mean you have to hate it. (but it is your opinion)

Meh. Maybe if it was a Hard mode exclusive thing it could work. But making it a default for wolves would just make it more harder than it should be to tame a wolf.

Wolves in real life are provokable. So if anything, Minecraft's image of the Wolf is about as realistic as it is in real life, with the add of a gaming aspect to balance it. Approaching a wild wolf may give off different feelings and signs, but Wolves tend to not attack creatures that are bigger than them, but again, that varies. If you were to come up to a wolf, you bet you're going to end up provoking them, resulting in the whole pack joining in to take you down. They are defensive creatures, and in no way will attack without reason.
With that said, deciding whether Wolves will be provoked naturally by a 50% chance is ludicrous. What if you want to tame a wolf, but half of the pack ends up being provoked, and you being unable to tame them. Even if one is provoked, you are most likely to attack it, making the other wolves nearby hostile as well. Even with the new addition of Bears, their AI is almost similar to that of a real life bear (but again, that varies). In game, they are provokable, just like the Wolf.
This AI may sound smart, but it's unfair to the player to have neutral mobs attack without reason, especially when you need to tame a wolf. Also, like all your other 'attempts' at trying to solve this suggestion, fixing it via difficulties isn't going to work. Because people will just decide to have this off than deal with naturally aggressive wolves.
I think it would be quite annoying with half the wolves you encounter being hostile, and if you don't have bones on you, you can't do anything about it.
I don't understand how this would be "better". And tinkering with the chance of things to happen in harder difficulties isn't a saving grace, it just makes things more tedious for people who enjoy harder difficulties. I don't support because I don't see what this really offers.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
Your suggestion is flawed. Instead of thinking about how 'smart' and 'perfect' this suggestion and AI is, look through the details about what your AI can do, and the problems it has. Start by reading the issues we've stated clearly provided in the critiques we've posted.
Actually, aside from completely dodging the point, this is incorrect. It doesn't make wolves smarter: Smarter would mean that, for instance, you could teach them tricks, or improve their pathfinding. No, all this does is make wolves more irritating, and adds hostile mobs in the day. That isn't a good thing. Wolves would be just as dumb as before if this were added, with the difference of a probability chance, and code ripped straight from the ocelot. This adds nothing but annoyance.

smarter wolves is what it offers.....
Your point...?

As such, no support.
