A great addition for minecraft would me a extreme hardcore mode where mobs do everything possible to kill you. creepers blow up walls to get to you. endermen place blocks to build up. zombies have a chance of spawning with pickaxes and can mine to you. mobs have a way better chance to spawn with armor and better weapons and have a chance to spawn with potion effects like jump boost and speed. and lots more mobs will spawn. i think this would be a great addition and seeing as some people don't like the idea i think it should be a game mode like peaceful, hard, easy and can be changed.

This would be awful beyond awful. Most of that is fake difficulty. I guess there's no point in building a shelter at all since a creeper just blasts his way through? No support.

everything you guys have said is true (which is why i like my own idea) but won't it be cool to test your castle or base by switching your game mode and actually minecraft isen't really hard just if you play long enough in hardcore mode you end up falling in lava not really dieing cas the game is hard. it would be a gamemode so it would be switchable. but i find it funny the way my idea got no support.
Here's the thing, since the others obviously didn't make it clear enough. This isn't "hard". Just get the idea out of your head that this is in any way "hard". This is just extremely unfair and annoying. Now, I don't blame you, as it kind of seems hard. However, this is really just a way to get out of having to actually thing of problem solving ideas, and just adding pointless difficulty. This would make it "harder", sort of, but it would really just add a huge pointless, annoying challenge. You can't even build a shelter. Everything you would ever make as a defense would eventually get destroyed or bypassed. This isn't really a good idea for a difficulty, because it goes right past hard into just annoying.

Also, I don't mean any offense to you, by the way. The idea is just...bad. But don't take this like a bunch of people do and leave because you think everyone's hating you, because that's not what's happening.

You're trying to pull the guys-it's-cool-because-it's-optional-though card. If an idea is good enough, it doesn't need to be optional or "switchable". I hate to keep digging, but I don't see anything "funny" about how we didn't support? If anything it looks pretty justified, this isn't some internet gang-up.
Why would we need to test our castle with this gamemode? None of this makes any sense. That's like building a sturdy, expensive house, then having someone fire an RPG at your house to "test it". That's not how that works.

On topic; it's annoying enough having other players break down my fortifications, now you want to have creepers and zombies do it too and on purpose? I think not
If I wanted to give an idea for a building or fortification, I would try it in a server or in Creative, and switch between that and the Survival gamemode. It could maybe work as a mod, but even then I couldn't see myself playing it for very long before all my hair's gone and I've ground my teeth to a powder in frustration. No support.

I know there is a mod that has pigman that build and try and get to the player, and zombies mine, ect, to get to some kind of block that has health.
