I have been thinking of many ideas for Minecraft. Though I have not come up with all the ways to implement them. These would take time, and would possibly have to be done by modders. Also, please give ideas on what different things could be and better recipes. These are basic things that could change. Grass, mobs, natural blocks, etc. would be difficult ideas. Please comment!
Eras: This one would be the most difficult to do. It would require the ability to change a texture pack when you enter a world or pick the era. An example would be going from the standard Minecraft to a Greek Minecraft when you make a new world and pick the Greek era.
The eras I have made up are: Greek, Medieval, Post-Apocalyptic, Futuristic, and Renaissance.
Standard: wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond. Bow. Minecart and boat. Glass. Flint and Steel. Furnace, crafting table, and chest. Torch. Bucket.
Greek: wood, stone, bronze, quartz, divine. Bow. Wagon? Boat. Glass. Flint and steel. Furnace, crafting table, and chest. Torch. Bucket.
Post-Apocalyptic and Futuristic: Artificial wood, artificial stone, Transparent alumina, Amorphous metal, Aerogel.http://lifeboat.com/ex/10.futuristic.materials If you don't know what these are, use the link. Gun? Car/minecart/train? Speedboat? Unknown/Glass? Lighter?(Flamethrower!) Futuristic oven thing, work bench(Dead Space), vault/safe? Lamp. Futuristic bucket. Post-Apocalyptic and futuristic would have a different base style.
Note: All of the eras would have a different base style and mobs.
Working Furniture: I have heard that Notch will be working on a bed, but I was thinking about having the ability to make refrigerators, chairs, couches, ovens, stoves, and other things. NEED COUCH AND CHAIR IDEAS!
Ovens: Used to cook food. This way it would take a bit longer to be able to make food give more health. Makes food stop rotting. =Pilot light.
Pilot Light:

Fridge: Used to make food stay fresh. This would incorporate rotting food into the game, making a fridge a must have. It would be two blocks high, and could only store food. = Iron Door
Stove: Used to get rid of the salt in salt water and make it fresh water. This would incorporate dehydration in the game, where salt water could KILL you.
[] [] [] = Oven.

Elevator: Used to move up and down in ONE spot. As in: [] [] = Elevator space. [] [] [] [] [] []
It can move up and down, but not into the air on either side.
Elevator: = Iron Door = Button
Elevator Shaft: [] [] []
More Transport: Submarine, Horse, and Teleport!
Submarine: It would be a sphere with a light source on top and three windows with a door on the back. It wouldn't move depending on where your looking. It would also have a lever on the back.
Hull: = Wood Door = Lever
Partially Working V1:Can't move.
[] [] [] = Hull
[] [] = Underwater Torch
[] []
Underwater Torch: can be placed (surprise!) underwater. Helps you see underwater.
Partially working V2:Can move, can't see.
[] [] [] ]" title="-<->" /> = Propeller
[] [] = Hull

Fully working: Move and see!
[] [] [] = Partially working V1
[] [] ]" title="-<->" /> = Propeller
[] ]" title="-<->" /> []
OR
[] [] [] = Partially working V2
[] [] = Underwater torch
[] []
Horse: a roaming mob that can be trained and you can ride. Simple!
Teleport: Another difficult one. Least likely to be implemented, because it would be almost impossible.
Outer shell: Does nothing, can't be placed. Only used later.
[] [] [] []
Core: Can't be placed. Would look epic. Used later. Ball of black energy. = Redstone Dust
Seal: Goes on the bottom. Can't be placed.
[] [] []
[] [] []
Partially finished: Can be placed and used, but takes away 2.5 hearts each time.
[] [] [] = Core
[] [] = Outer Shell
[] []
Teleporter: Finished. Can be placed and used, no penalty.
[] [] [] = Partially Finished
[] [] = Seal
[] [] EDIT: Computers. Could be used to choose two teleporters that would be active. In this way, you could make a central hub. = Core
It would use a menu like:
Teleport A Activate
Teleport B Deactivate
Teleport C Deactivate
Activate would be grayed out and could not be chosen unless B or C were deactivated.
Better Mechanisms: I have always had problems with redstone and was wondering if there was a better way to develop a circuit. LBP 2 has one of the best ways. There needs to be a way to build the NOR, AND, NAND, etc. gates so that they can be placed and used easily. Not much of a segment, more like a basic idea.
Final Note: I favor everything except the Eras. But I would like help with ways to improve them all.

I just accidently made a new post which quoted my first "story" post, because I am an idiot.
Before I respond fully, are these different 'eras', 'dimensions' or options you choose when you start the game?
Eras that would change the strengths and looks of everything. So its basically an overhaul of a texture pack.
Also, they would have to change almost everything, making them very difficult to implement.
