They never really stated "Oh I hope Mojang adds this :)))))" So I don't really see any point in saying this except to try and un-inspire the OP to make said suggestion. (If anything, their words seemed directed at us, the users). Though what you say is true (Mojang never looks here), users can post suggestions on Reddit, the place that Mojang seems to look, and have a higher chance of Mojang seeing. Of course, even then the chance is still probably at 1%, it just depends on what Mojang sees at the right time. So there isn't any reason to make this statement, really.

I've always been annoyed how I have to press tab multiple times in order to get the command that I want, and think that this would make a great addition to Minecraft if it is ever added, however, I think the option to move it around should be there as well unless it just goes above the chat.

omg when you accidentally hit tab before entering a command the spam is real XD essentially on plugin servers,
i just have 1 question and 1 suggestion...
question: by multiplayer settings do you mean chat settings? There are no "multiplayer options" in the options menu.
suggestion 1: I really like the light background because with that dark one it might blend in to things so I suggest you use the light background
suggestion 2: if you do mean chat settings instead of "multiplayer options" I would like to suggest adding a subset of options in the chat settings called "autocomplete", unless that is what you mean. Instead of having the 3 different options in the big list I suggest a sub set so all autocomplete options are in one screen!

Yup, this will ease beginners learn minecraft. I'd want to create tooltip but i'm not an artist.
I really like this! I do think it should be an option because some people may not be used to it, but it would be very useful and user-friendly, and would just in general make maps easier, especially for people who want to use commands but don't really know how they work.

UPDATE: After long hiatus, i finally back. Edited typos and added more detail in recommended mechanism.
NOTE: I know 1.13 but this suggestion upgrades that autocomplete. I wish Microsoft would add their IntelliSense technology.
