I really miss the older versions of Minecraft in which mobs could move past the current 32 block limit. I go outside at night and there are all these mobs standing around looking at each other doing nothing at all. It does not look alive or real, and it looks really artificial. There is less danger at night as well since mobs do not randomly wander in nearly as often due to there only being a small ring around the player between 24 - 32 blocks that mobs can spawn, and then can actually do anything after their initial 5 second spawn window for movement. Supposedly long ago this change was done to improve performance, but I did not see any real improvement performance wise back then since the total number of naturally spawning mobs was and is limited. With the frame rates I am getting atm I could really care less if the game runs a little slower tbh. Give me and the others the option to make the game a little more real in the settings without messing with mods or maybe command blocks. That change did not stop mob farms at all, and it should be easy to add in a setting for it so that people with budget PCs do not suffer either.
