Computers In Minecraft x3
where = A Circuit Board
Circuits are made like this: [RedStone]
So I had an idea for computers in Minecraft. Their main fuction would be emulating RedStone Circuitry by making Logic Gates, Pulse Generators, Clock Generators, and the like. This would mainly provide a way to condense the silly amount of space required for those RedStone circuits down to a very useable size, in that the computer(s) would simulate the output of these mechanisms.
I'll continue working on this idea, and try to put up some UI and argument ideas. Right now, I'd just like to see what the community here thinks.
I think this is a bad idea, breaking both the "timeframe" and the "low-tech" feel.
This wouldn't help those players who weren't building redstone mechanisms. If you're just mining and trying to build a castle or whatever, this is useless. It's more of an aid to those who want to save enormous amounts of space and resources when they make a clock that has a display or want to automate a song, etc.
A computer block would put everything I described into one, and besides I think it's interesting to see these machines all built out like they are. If you visit my thread though I do suggest some condensing but this is just too far.

It may look impressive, but it's very needless, I think. Why are dispensers accepted, but saying that I have to essentially allocate a silly amount of space to get something to blink isn't? I'd just like to make a useful redstone mechanism without having to build it like an ant would build a pulser.
Ild like to see a mod where you build a device with redstone and rtorches, right click it with a redstone torch and it turns into a block that does the same thing but uses less space.
I know there's already a block for repeaters but if you made one the old fashioned way and right clicked it to turn it into the repeater block it would be more interesting

I'd like your opinions!

I'm talking more of hardcoded algorithms that you would just turn on, not build.
And besides, MicroChips doesn't support multi-layered devices, or things such as the Blink Device.
