After looking around here and thinking about the game, it occurred to me that sometimes, I don't want a ginormous world to explore. Sometimes I want just a little area to explore and have fun in.
So how about it? An option for world size. It could be Small, Medium, Large, and Ginormous. I'm unsure if Minecraft has a hard altitude limit, so I can't offer input there. But for horizontal area, how about this?
500x500 - Small
1000x1000 - Medium
1500x1500 - Large
2500x2500 - Ginormous
Well, after learning that Minecraft by default has an infinite map, I still think this suggestion could be a neat option for those who want smaller maps.

It's not infinite, it's just 8 times the surface area of the earth.
It only generates what you can see. It won't try to generate 8 times the surface of the earth if you haven't even moved yet.
As such, the world generation is pretty much on an on-demand basis, so this suggestion isn't necessary. Oh, and the world generation is infinite, just past a certain distance it starts to glitch horribly (farlands).
