My first idea is kinda like a Moltov, you see where this is going, right?
So we can throw eggs, how can we improve it? We have an egg, that is on fire, and when it is thrown and hits the ground, a burst of flames in an area of 3x3x1 (I think it should be small because then if you throw one at wood, or trees it would burst in fire, adding some more fun to the game). I have considered how this could cause grieving, and nobody likes there stuff bursting into flames, so I think that 1. It should only effect trees: or : 2. People should be responcible and let a server OP, if the OP so has to, handle it. (In multiplayer)
Part 2 of the idea:
Crafting: (Oh joy!)
It involves an egg, and heres my idea:
Vertical line, at the bottom you place a torch (To light it), then a piece of paper in the middle, (It would wrap around the egg) and at the top an egg. i
That is my idea to give eggs another use, now I still am debating how much you would get from each one you craft,
and if it would be one egg per slot or a maximum of 64 per slot, but keeping the atributes of an egg, it should be one egg per slot.
Second Idea [>>-i>]
Okay, Flaming Arrows, kinda like when you fire one through lava, except it is on fire from the start of when you fire it, and it deals 3.5 Hearts of damage, and has some % chance to ignite enemies on fire. Maybe you could craft it by placing an arrow to the left of Flint and Steel. Every time you ignited an Arrow the Flint and Steel would break a little. Keeping the Minecraft Spirit, and telling us to go find some more gravel! And start digging.
I think flaming arrows should always start a fire when they hit something, or multiple arrows can be crafted with one flint and steel - otherwise it would be a waste of iron - you could make plenty of other, more useful things (such as minecart tracks) with that iron.
And it's spelt 'Flaming', not 'Flamming'.
Edit: didn't see that bit about the using up durability each time. I fully support now.

It was late, I made a few spelling errors, and thanks for the support.
