I think this idea is about complete, now we just need to keep getting support so maybe Notch will see it.
Need :
- Liquids need to be in the process, please implement it so that all brews require liquids, or there is a slot where you can put liquids in the brew thingy or, (Re-invented whole thing on this one) make the finale solution a powder and then add a liquid to it (then you would need to change the whole idea)
Suggestion :
-Maybe there could be a place especially for fermenting it (idk what), so you wouldn't have to ferment it, but it would make the potion 25 to 75% less effective if you didn't (time for power).
-Maybe have some potions where you could farm the ingredients (very low powered potions)
Question :
-Where did you make the image for the interface?
Brew Suggestion :
???-Fire Potion : , , and as the Liquid or , , (or water)
Something to do with fire
Night Vision Potion : , Glowstone, Glowstone (Please change) and Water as the Liquid or ,Glowstone, Glowstone
Makes your view brighter (doesn't light up any items) by a light level or 2, but you will take DoT (Damage Over Time) when touched by a light level of 11 (Change might be needed) or higher
Ninja Potion (Might be stupid) : , , (Please change) and water as the Liquid or , ,
Makes you make no noise even when not crouching (dissable sounds of all blocks) and/or hides your name when not crouching or you move faster when crouching (Needs Change or don't implement it)
That's all, sorry if you find reading this post as a waste of time (I have a confidence problem lol)

Alright, I'll add a slot for a bucket of water to go. Seems like it would make sense.
For the image, I just copyed the crafting menu, changed the window size, moved some boxes around, and made my own custom text.
The nightvision potion seems to be intresting. I'll have to consider it.
Could there be poisons? with different effects that could be coated to arrows and swords, pretty much a potion without the good part, that you put on some guy ? if so you could damage your weapon (decrease the durability) or would you just coat your weapon with the brew and attack him giving the bonus and negative.
EDIT_____
Maybe you could change the name of this thread to alchemycraft (if it isn't already taken) , so you could make powders (ingredients withouth the liquids), and not just brews, and those powders could be inserted into your food(craft powder on top, porckchop/fish on the bottom) and then maybe Everwood and Bark could have uses :wink.gif:,and when inserting the powder into your raw food it could give it a bonus/debuff (poison porckchop/fish?, spicy porckchop/fish? etc.) if this were to happen then this would be the process
Steps :
- Get theingredients for the powder
- Put them in what ever slot but do not use liquids
- Receive the powder after a good break down (they can only be retrieved into a bowl)
- Place your Raw Porckchop/Fish on the bottom and your powder on top
- Take from the Output slot the Porckchop/Fish, it will have a colour that goes with the powder
- (Optional) Cook the Porckchop/Fish so it looses it's colour and looks normal, the Porckchop/Fish will have the name cooked Porckchop/Fish and look exactly like it, but it will have the effects of the brew that would have been crafted if you used the liquid specified, so be careful

Well there are a couple ways featherweight could scientifically work making it so that it increase damage done to the player using it :
Option A, I) The Feather weight brew, when consumed will cause all excess waste, to be reduced to "nothing"
Option A II) The Feather Weight brew, when consumed will cause your bones to hallow out, making you more easily damageable (and would technically increase knock back too)
Choose your scientific option, lol

I like the second one, because birds have hollow bones, and I guess the featherweight potion would make you like a bird. I plan to add a brew that reduces fall damage, but I'm not sure what to use as ingredients. Definately shoes, then an ore, but what else?

Decreasing fall damage = increase the density of your skeletal structure, so actually you don't need shoes you need bones and something that is dense...what comes to mind is diamond, but Iron should do it
or
Decreasing fall damage = Release a % of the kenetic energy applied to you when you take a drop, Idk what could do that, something...uh yeah idk (I'm not even in physics class lol) well anyway, this idea would sorta cause a crater when you fall off a certain height (not the best choice)
or
Shock Absorbers, gold and wool (since gold is a soft metal)
Anyway the 1st one seems more realistic

Tell me if it needs any changes.

And as for a bed being an ingredient, I added it because I wasn't sure what else, and it seems like a bed is something that you could fall sofly on.
I've been considering removing it, but it essentially is a faster way to clear multiple trees than using an axe.
Changed it to 1/2 drops.
