1. I'm gathering this suggestion has been made before, but I'm inclined to ask anyway: Is a deeper underground world ever coming to Minecraft's survival mode? An entirely new deep mantle biome would be great to have in the game to make it even more challenging and mysterious. It could be a sort of intermediary stratum before the Nether/Nexus, too.
2. Just as Minecraft ingeniously creates random landscapes on its own, I've always wondered if it could do the same with the locations and designs of underground "boss" creatures. I imagine a matrix that could create random designs of large monsters that you may stumble upon every now and then. A sort of "you never know" aspect to the game would make it even more scary and challenging.

Thanks for the welcome, Dragon. I'm just throwing out overall suggestions that I wanted to keep "open source" in the imagination department. The more I look around, the more I see others have suggested the notion of greater depth to the underground level, so I suppose that concept is moot anyway. I was happy to see others want it, too.
As for the creation of boss creatures, I'll have to get back to you on the exact details of my suggestion. I'm pretty sure, though, that readers generally get the gist of it? I may not be able to get too specific because I'm not a programmer and I wouldn't even know where to begin making a randomizer for boss creation. In the meanwhile, I'll look into that thread you reference.
A boss randomizer seems a little too much. Instead of providing more bosses for the sake of variety, suggesting one boss is enough to come unique. Randomizing bosses of different shapes and sizes wouldn't exactly be as interesting as it looks.
I'm for adding a "random element" mob aspect to the game within a limited environment, like a new subterranean biome.
Full support.
I do think there should be some barrier between the normal underground and this new zone. Perhaps it exists beneath the bedrock and you have to pierce it somehow (like getting above the Nether)

Fully agreed, ZK. I like the idea of finding a special way to pierce the bedrock and open up an entirely new dimension to the game. It would be nice to make this stage exclusive to survival mode, too, so it couldn't be randomly explored without risk or a sense of adventure.

Well, one thing for sure in my mind is they would all be of a certain large size, and if built well enough by a clever algorithm (that builds based on certain rules of awesomeness), I think it would be very challenging and would never allow the player to skip through new subterranean levels with absolute surety.

Incorrect choice of words, that was my bad, what I mean't to say, it doesn't really fit the idea unless you were to explain more about it. So far, all we know is that it can size or shape, perhaps it can also have different abilities to spice it up a little?
Having a deeper underground would be neat, but having bosses spawn in the Overworld isn't a good idea. Though it might work if it has to be summoned. Randomly generated bosses doesn't seem very original and Minecraft-ish. A well developed original boss would go much farther than one that's pieced together randomly by code.
So partial support.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
I agree. Random generation of major monsters "pieced together" wouldn’t exactly be cool, but accessing new deeper layers underground should occasionally lead you to run into evil awesomeness. Once they are defeated, it should take a while before you encounter another. This infers some degree of algorithmic building and dispersion.
As for the idea not being Minecraft-ish, why not? Landscape is generated. So are creepers, zombies, skeletons, etc. Villages and temples are spawned as well. The idea seems right in line with Minecraft, in my mind.

Meh. Isn't the mantle too hot for humans to live in? I like the idea of giant boss mobs, but I'm just not feeling the mantle biome.

This is quite vague. It sounds like a good idea, but without details I can't support.
