We all know how sticky slime blocks are, and how ugly the blocks that don't stick, such as furnaces and obsidian, are.
I was surfing YouTube, when I saw a cool elevator design, which I'll link to below. It was a paternoster elevator. Now, each box on the elevator was made of open fence gates, blocks that are pushable by pistons, but are totally unobtrusive to movement. That seemed a little stupid, so I started thinking of alternatives.
My idea was to have a line of solid blocks, except that every third block was a slime block with a block stuck to it. The problem was that the slime blocks would stick to the other blocks in this line.
What I needed was a block that was pushable by pistons, didn't stick to slime blocks, and looked cool, because said blocks would be quite visible in the design.
My suggested solution: Seared silica.
This block would be obtained by smelting glass. It would look something like ice, but tinted an off-white, tan, or beige.
