I find it a bit annoying when I have water bottles stored next to my awkward potions, and I have to scan over them with the mouse cursor to find out which ones are ready to go. It would be nice if I could tell them apart at a glance.
I imagine mundane potions being a murky brown, and awkward potions being a brighter green. So I played around in MS Paint and produced the image below.
You won't have to worry about telling awkward/mundane potions apart from any potions with an effect, because effect potions pulsate and the glass changes color. Awkward and mundane potions have white glass just like water bottles.
(in reading order: water bottles, mundane potions, awkward potions, more water bottles, potions of night vision, and one glass bottle)

I want ocean content(thanks Möjang!), nether biomes(again thanks!!), and savanna passive mobs (meerkats incoming!?).
I Support! Short and sweet, I do occasionally have problems with mixing up the potions. This idea doesn't have any downsides.
This. Simple and relatively easy to implement too, I would think. Support, I think this is something all players who have spent time Brewing have considered on some level, but just deal with it rather than suggesting we change it.
Lol but who even brews those. They are basically useless compared to awkward potions. I support though. It does annoy me when I find those in SMP.

Sometimes I think people pay more immediate attention to joke, troll, vague, and wrong section threads here instead of the actual proper suggestions.

> If you make a banner that doesn't link back to your thread, I'll hate you a little.
> Stop suggesting: lighted torch holding, retarded bosses, new dimensions, thirst, natural disasters.
> If you don't support a gun thread because it is "OP" and "unfitting" when it clearly isn't, (eg that musket thread), I will hunt you, and I will absorb your life essence.
For when you're making random loot chests in a survival or PVP map and want people to go "Oh yeah I found a potion! .....oh"
Perhaps the potion color could also show on the brewing stand. Then when you screw up your potions because you forgot to add nether wart first, you'll be able to see it from a distance. You come downstairs to get your potions and BAM! Soon as you round the corner you see three brown potions hanging off the brewing stand D'oh!

I'm not the first person to suggest this: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-discussion/suggestions/72422-potion-colors-mundane-and-awkward

I'm almost completely inactive, in case you're trawling through really old threads and notice me somewhere.

I don't really care, but I don't see why not. It should be easy to implement and sort of useful.

support, I don't quite see a use for this, as I keep all my water bottles in chests connected to my brewing stand with hoppers
